As a Native American, I'm really sick of all these assumptions about Chaco. It's no mystery. They did no research, other than what they wanted you to hear. They were a rogue band of Aztecs. The TRUE HISTORY OF THAT PLACE, if far more bizarre and interesting than all this fake theorizing. WE KNOW what happened. They ate each other and those that weren't eaten fled. Period.
Wow! I just finished reading The House of Rain by Craig Childs. His impression was yes they were cannibals and also drought drove them away as well.Anasazi I read is a Navajo word corrupted to call Pueblo peoples ancient enemies. It wasn’t just cannibalism. But I hear you about this crapshoot! As they left they assimilated into other cultures and breed with other peoples. The Anasazi way of life changed and they were no longer able to live in Chaco canyon not only did they die but dwindled out to become a new group of native peoples mixed heritage and culture and religion. Wars were fought and people were also burned alive. To say it was just one thing is not the whole truth. I am not denying your statement just adding to it ! Peace out

I AM NATIVE AS WELL. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL EXPERIENCES WITH THIS PLACE WHILE STILL LIVING IN SAN DIEGO, CA. I HAVE NEVER VISITED THIS PLACE, YET I HAD SEVERAL REACURING DREAMS THAT I WAS A PRE TEEN IN THOSE DAYS AND "THEY" (OTHER NATIVES AMERICANS) USED FIRES TO SMOKE US OUT OF OF OUR AREAS. THE SKY WOULD TURN BLOOD RED OR REDDISH/BROWN/YELLOW IN COLOR WHENEVER THESE FIRES WERE USED; AND TILL THIS DAY, I FEEL LIKE SOME IMPENDING DOOM LINGERS WHEN I SEE THE SKY IN THAT COLOR. I HATE THAT COLOR OF SKY. THE OTHER WAS A VISION. I WAS FLYING THROUGH ROCKS AND A MOUNTAIN SIDE OF PURE ROCK WHEN I ENCOUNTERED A CAVE AND A SMALL GROUP OF NATIVE PEOPLES. MANY WERE YOUNG PRE- TEEN CHILDREN AND WOMEN; OF VARIOUS AGES. I NOTICED HOWEVER THAT ALL THE MEN WERE ALREADY ALL GONE. I KNEW IN THIS VISION IT WAS BAD AND WE WERE NEAR THE END. I like how the discovery is being called a device rather than an artifact. That alone should tell everyone watching this that the evil rulers of this realm are far more evil than what weve already knew they were.
I like this video, but the one thing I don't like, in all this kind of shows is that ancient people could not possibly have been smart enough to build the buildings they did. It is disrespectful to those people and their society.
