Every time I listen to John Lydon speak I'm reminded that there are some people in the world who are still very honest. The world is so full of fake and superficial people I sometimes can't stand it.
I can't stand that superficial BS neither. I hope children or their children won't go for it and like real things again. No fake boobs and horrific botox lips, etc. And I don't think children (or pets) are very happy if their parents (or owners) always stare at their phones and nothing happens! First it's great cause kids love their phones, games and computers too, but it gets really boring after a while cause there's no communication at all. I don't have a smart phone, and I was never really into it anyway. I use a little burner and that's it. I don't wanna stare at my phone endlessly, I wanna live, love, and be happy with the things that I love to do. Real things.. 🎸🔧🐣☮🕊

I grew up with their music (Sex Pistols) and til today for me he is one of the wisest man on earth ! For me, one of his best Interview ever ! If we only had more guys like him with his mind !
love john...he was always blunt, and as much as he says that everything he ever did/said was never out of malice, when he was younger he definitely liked pushing things in terms of being difficult, etc (as any young guy would!) it's nice to see him friendlier in recent years though, because he's been labelled as being a vicious person when that's not the case...people are offended by the truth and opinions: thats what it boiled down to

John Lydon aka Johnny Rotten is one hell of a guy. He’s very witty and he’s also a very smart man and usually reporters or whoever it may be that tries to debate him he always makes them look completely stupid. The Sex Pistols which Lydon was obviously a big part of were absolutely unique. However as much of that uniqueness was down to the Sex threads they were wearing ,Jamie Reids art work,Steve Jones guitar and swagger/laddism, Paul Cooks drums, Matlocks melodies and Mclarens mangement, the Grundy thing, Sid Vicious and timing as it was to Lydon. For someone who describes himself as "honest" I do find him hard to believe,even his memory loss story. Never heard him give anyone any recognition for their contribution to the punk scene . He himself he must be able to see that to the people who bought his records he appears to be a walking contradiction, with his desparation to become part of the celebrity set.

Really amazing interview. I feel everything John says, I know exactly where he is coming from. It's such a shame that what started as fun, the air was sucked out of the room when John made some really light hearted jokes about Putin but also said the world is complex and sometimes he agrees with some things he says. None of what he said was at all controversial and was somewhat diplomatic but it's hard to say how much that was lost in translation which happens, even with a really good translator especially with the tone and intentions often. So then John sees some of the crowd maybe hard supporters of Putin who thought he was making an avocation he wasn't, become silent and at unrest. He then tried to show them he was all about the people not the power but it seemed the mood was changed. It's very upsetting to see as his only message was one of unity amongst people regardless of their politics. It's sad to see from the reaction some people will mistake what he actually said and meant. Regardless you have to hand it to him. No matter who he is talking to or where he is in the world: he'll say it as he sees it. That's him and to be honest that's the type of man you want in the trenches with you. One who you may not always like or agree with, but a person who will always be honest with you. Someone who you know where they stand and won't play petty games.
