Steven Matthews I beg to differ with the music! :o I think her songs are wonderful. Her music has really evolved from the beginning till now, and unlike many many artists out there, she's sung about things that truly matter, or issues that are close to heart. For example, Skyscraper about her confidence, self-esteem and issues with bullying, Trainwreck about the instability of a person and how that's completely fine because that's who they are and how they deserve to be loved, Warrior about fighting through your obstacles, Confident about being comfortable with who you are, and so much more.
Lets be honest, one of the most underrated singers today. She deserves grammy more than anyone at this point. She is really strong person and also has strong voice range. I believe the issue with singers such as Demi Lovato and Jennifer Hudson, who are incredibly gifted with vocal range, tend to "over-sing" songs. Having talent is necessary but without proper vocal control and understanding how much vocal power a song needs (not every song needs belting or massive runs), they're performances to me just come off a bit amateur and forceful. I think learning to control their talent is the first step to producing better performances.
Sorry, but Demi does not SHOUT, shouting is when your mouth stays still, if you look at her mouth it moves because she is trying to hit the right notes, she never yells in any of her songs being able to sing that high is amazing.
