There is the common misconception that the reason he renewed with PSG is money. It's not. If he cared so much about money he would've accepted Saudi's offer of 700m a year or accepted the bigger contracts PSG has offered him. He renewed because when it seemed like all hope was lost on PSG's side they got the Emir of Qatar and the President of France to speak to Mbappe directly and pressure him into staying.
As for HOW he gives money to PSG? Simple. Mbapps's contract includes 100-150 million euros in loyalty bonuses. Basically, if he stays at PSG until a certain point, even without renewing, he gets money. PSG at the moment wants Mbappe out for a transfer fee so they don't lose him for free, but both sides have come to the compromise (that Mbappe first pushed) that in the case of no transfer this summer, he would WAIVE his bonuses and be allowed to leave for free, and in exchange PSG wouldn't bench him.
