Just discovered you-boy am I lucky! I have been sewing for a few years now, and you gave me the courage to buy a serger and start making clothes. I promise I will take the serger out of the box….thank you for being you, and sharing your rare talent of both sewing and encouragement to the world
❤Have been sewing for myself, professional and taught for just over 60 years. Clothing, upholstery, quilting, luggage, book binding etc. Have even designed copyrighted/patent my own patterns. Your tutorials offer quick success for beginners as you have said. I see in your videos smiles, patience and uplifting encouragement of basics that other channels do not offer. As for the couple of negative comments regarding directional or nap fabrics, I would argue those are advance beginner/intermediate conversations. Keep up the good work
I love that pattern and have made countless flannel pants for the guys in my family. I made flannel for grandkids. And a cheifs fleece for hubby and steelers fleece for my Dad ( who i lost 4 years ago) it's quick and easy you lowered the knife that is a great tip i dishes think of other wise I make them exactly likely out do and that is awesome
i swear i have never seen this video. Girl I have wanted to make my own PJ pants for ages. and just have not been able to like umm "Mesh" with anyone's videos on TH-cam that has a tutorial. (buying any garments online is a gamble, every single garment purchase I have made online I have had to return) I am in a chair so I tend to live in PJ pants and T-shirts. trust me it's easier to dress and undress in my situation. TY tons for this.. I hope i can .. Ok I think I can.. I think I can.... LOL LOL TY for all you do for us.. You deserve a ton of alkaloids for real
I forgot to say - I LOVE watching your videos. I just recently found you this month (Aug 2024). You bring such JOY and HAPPINESS to my day ❤️ I hope you can do this full time 🤞🙏😘
Mrs Chelsea thank you for your videos you are the most amazing person I seen your videos I told myself I couldn’t do it but I kept watching you and your videos I know I could do it, but I gotta wait to see if I have to have surgery on my left arm so but thank you so very much. Miss Chelsea. You are the sweetest person I have seen on TH-cam with sewing.❤❤❤
I just found your channel! I have been sewing professional and for fun many years. I learned as a young girl in 4-H love your happy energy for beginners! You make learning FUN and a positive it can be frustrating to learn but you encourage thank you for your radiant smile.😊
I was trying to decide if I wanted to dl this pattern. I think I will give it a try now. Thanks. Tip that I use for joining elastic is to use my triple stitch zig-zag stitch on the widest setting for even more security. I feel like it spreads the stitch tension around.
Would you mind telling me where you got that cute shirt you are wearing? I love it. I just found your channel and I'm starting at the oldest and binge watching all of them. The tutorials are great and I love your personality. Thanks!
Hi Chelsea, I'm sorry but I disagree with the way you are laying out your fabric. You can't just fold the bottom of the fabric to meet the top if you have a directional fabric. The pattern will be going one way on one leg and the opposite way on the other leg. Other than that, great tutorial.
I agree with you. This videobis not good teaching. What's more, if the fabric is cotton flannelette, that is also a factor due to the nap of the fabric, which should be going in the same direction both front and back. I used to teach sewing to beginners and I would never teach this way of folding the fabric before cutting napped or directional fabric.
Correct. If it’s a directional print, cut the fabric below where the hem is going to be and then turn it so the direction is correct but make sure you cut the fabric from the opposite side of what you did the first piece! That should fix it!

How do you get the pattern to print correct size?
Is there a way to enlarge the pattern
Do you have a tutorial or how to put the PDF pattern together? Having problems newbie

…that doesn’t apply to her fabric because the print pattern goes in different directions!❤🎉😉
I agree with you. This videobis not good teaching. What size did you make ?
👏🏻🌲🧵
When I fold the fabric as needed, then one leg is going to have an upside down print 😢. I’m so confused. 😕 Help 😅
Correct. If it’s a directional print, cut the fabric below where the hem is going to be and then turn it so the direction is correct but make sure you cut the fabric from the opposite side of what you did the first piece! That should fix it!
@@shesewsseams Thanks. Would that require additional fabric then? I’m making a size large which called for only one yard of fabric?
Folding it this way would require more fabric, yes.
@@shesewsseams Thanks for your help! ❤️❤️❤️
