I love seeing father son teams out doing what they enjoy together. I am blessed that my son Cody and I get to chase these magnificent creatures together also. It looks like we have about the same setup as your boat. God bless, and fish on!

I guess the "Hunter" knot ok. I always use a Trilene knot in those spots. But whatever works. That was a great blue Dad got.
Best thing was watching you guys enjoy fishing together. I'd give most anything for one more trip with my dad. ❤

I’ve caught a million fish from that area. I lived on the Neely Henry part of the Coosa and still fish it a lot. I fish anywhere from Weiss dam to Henry Neely dam in Ohatchee mostly when I’m in Alabama. I know a few holes on Guntersville that have always produced some giants but my biggest as of late has coke from palmetto creek

I’ve never had a whole lot of success with skipjack on the coosa River chain of lakes. I guess not having the in that body of water naturally they don’t just eat em up all the time. I’ve fished em along side of cut shad and shad always out produced the skips I guess because of the natural forage for them.

That's also a dynamite spotted bass area. I've been fishing that area all my life.

That was a very fishy area. Y’all ever catch big stripers there?

What size hooks are you running? I use 10/0 or 12/0. It takes a big hook to get under that tooth plate on a big fish. If not, it'll pull the hook every time !
