There is good reason for critique. Kanazawa, like many of the Japanese masters of his era had incredible skill but their interpretation of kata was poor.
Kata doesn't work in fighting. Like Heisoku, Musubi, Uchihachiji Nekoashi, Uchi uke etc.😅😁😂Fighting is really not showing. Like Funakoshi and Choki Motobu fighting😆😁😂😃
The efficiency of the katas is not only based on an application in a real fight, but on the evolution of the technique through effort and learning at different levels, with a combination of blows to test the practitioner. It's no wonder that each kata has a name and meaning, as they are not just fights, but learning scenarios.
nunca vi bunkai do Bassai dai tão mal aplicado, aplicação extremamente conceitual, inclusive com 2 shuto uke sem nenhuma aplicação, feita no vento. Me desculpe mestre kanazawa que é uma lenda do karate shotokan, mas esse bunkai aí foi páia;
@Cleiton Norton vdd. O Shotokan desde o inicio tem trabalhado a beleza das formas em detrimento da eficácia dos movimentos, por isso se tornou tão fraco hoje.
@@ananku1057 sim, hoje o shotokan é fraco, basta você comparar o torneio de shotokan dos anos 80 com um torneio de shotokan atualmente, hoje os atletas apenas pulam e gritam. São fracos. Mas o shotokan em si não é fraco, os karatecas perderam a essência do karatê.
