not to be rude or anything but you don't know if it really hurt that person the fact that you broke a promise just because you needed time. i understand you and your mental health go first and maybe i'm just taking this way too personal but if you really love someone you will be there for them no matter what happens and they will be there for you. broken promises should just not count and sometimes you damage and hurt someone you said you loved just so you can be okay and in certain ways that's a bit selfish. i really hope everything turns out well for you. every situation is different, but if you still love them go tell them and get them back in your life, fix things and don't hide from the guilt or feelings, don't break a promise nor someone's heart just so you can be okay, because if you really love them you will not stand see them suffering. you just have to try so both of you can be happy, and if they love you they will make sure you're okay too, if that's what you want. just don't give up.

Day 47 of quarantine. Lost my job, now i lost the girl i truly loved due to her family getting in the way. Just ended my only and first relationship of 4 years over the phone. We’ve been going through our long distance relationship for some time, and I guess we both got caught up in our lives. not to be rude or anything but you don't know if it really hurt that person the fact that you broke a promise just because you needed time. i understand you and your mental health go first and maybe i'm just taking this way too personal but if you really love someone you will be there for them no matter what happens and they will be there for you. broken promises should just not count and sometimes you damage and hurt someone you said you loved just so you can be okay and in certain ways that's a bit selfish. i really hope everything turns out well for you. every situation is different, but if you still love them go tell them and get them back in your life, fix things and don't hide from the guilt or feelings, don't break a promise nor someone's heart just so you can be okay, because if you really love them you will not stand see them suffering. you just have to try so both of you can be happy, and if they love you they will make sure you're okay too, if that's what you want. just don't give up.

Day 47 of quarantine. Lost my job, now i lost the girl i truly loved due to her family getting in the way. Breakups are bad but this has to be the worst considering she had to let me go because her parents gave her an ultimatum. This feeling is worst than being cheated on which i have been in the past. But this time, knowing how strong our love was for each other, she had to let go & i had to respect her decision. The girl i truly and whole heartedly love, take care of yourself and if time permits i pray we bump into each other again in the future. Thank you for proving to me that i could be loved.
