We had an escapee situation here in the suburbs of Philadelphia several weeks ago. A guy escaped the local county jail by bracing his hands and feet against close together opposite walls to horizontally lift himself over the outer wall. He evaded state police for two weeks by moving through the woods and breaking into local homes to steal clothes and supplies. Towards the end he had managed to steal a rifle and had managed to avoid being shot, despite the owner of the gun firing seven shots at him with another weapon. Eventually, the police dogs got him.
In regards to 5:52 As someone who works in a prison, prisoners will often try to get officers to do little things that arnt not allowed but things that shouldn’t be happening, and once an officer does that one thing the prisoner will say something along the lines of ‘you need to bring me this (illegal) thing in or I will report you for doing this other thing’, this normally only works with newer officers that don’t have as much experience with dealing with prisoners. But it does happen, I myself have been asked to bring in 2 sheets of spice paper for £5000 but as long as it is reported to a senior officer straight away everything will be fine. Ik no one really cares but thought it would be helpful to know why people risk it.
