  • 30" of fresh snow fell in Conifer, Colorado in February 2012. It was a light dry powder that was no match for the Ram. I'm driving on 32" Hankook Dynapro A/T's as this truck is a daily driver and tow rig. The real snow monster is under development... A CJ 7 with 42" M/T's, beadlocks, lockers, coil overs etc... I'll have videos of that when it's done. P.S. For the enthusiasts like me who would rather listen to the exhaust note of a 5.9L Cummins getting after it than music, sorry. The waterproof case of the GoPro HD made the audio unusable. It won't happen again. : )

Not for this situation. The snow was so dry it wasn't necessary. On my jeep when I offroad through snow I air down to about 5 PSI but I have beadlock wheels. Thanks for watching!

I had bfg,and I bought some Big-O at Friday B4 heading home but they only had 3 in stock so i only had 2 put on and will have the other 2 on this week ,but My 09 2500 6.7 long bed is a JOKE in the snow ...sure on flat-ish ground and powder snow it does ok ,But I live in Bailey ,Co and yesterday I ended up brining out the Big Gun (again) to yank the f-ing Dodge up our hill saving it from sliding back down the hill luckily I was able to spin the tires to dig a hole to hold it from going baclwards or it would have went fast back down the steep hill ...lol...The Big Jeep is running Swampers grooved/siped it can stop on the same hill and reverse from a stop back up laughing at the Dodge and has enough traction to yank it up when it can only spin all 4 at tires and i had about 400lbs of snow shuveled into the bed ...lol...Long bed pickup is no Jeep in the snow . Maybe hopefully when I get to rest og my tires put on this week I'm going to hit the tires with my groover/siper and see if siping the new tires will get the Dodge able to make the hil...lol...B/C at the end of the week comming home at 0200-03000I'm not walking a snow packed hill .

Hey man I'm looking into Rams now how are they in the snow? In this video they look unstoppable but I know some pickups due to the light rear stink. Any input? Thanks man

All trucks due to the weight distribution front to rear suffer in the snow. I would say they're all the same for all practical purposes. The only thing that will set one truck apart from another is having a locking rear differential which some trucks come with from the factory. Adding one to the front makes your truck as good in the snow as any other vehicle with both differentials locked. Good tires though make a big difference. I am currently using the Wrangler Duratrack tires from Goodyear. Those things are amazing in the snow. The snow in this video was very light and fluffy snow. You can see how easily it flies up from the tires as I drive through it.
