My Daughter just learned this in 5 minutes with your video - her math teacher and a tutor were unable to help her - thank you soooo much for putting this out there - you are a genius!! I hope karma serves you up some good things in life!!!!
Why can't some teachers explain things like this so people can understand easier. (dumb it down enough for easy understanding) There should be an mandatory test to be a math teacher on ability to explain clearly and simply.
This video helped so much thank you, I missed a lot of school last week and my teacher would teach me the stuff I missed even though I was willing to go in after class so this should help me for my test tomorrow
You sir, are a blessing. You literally explained in 5 minutes what my math teacher taught me in a whole 1 and a half hour block and I actually understood it!
Thanks a bunch! i got a 5 day out of school suspension for smoking pot in school, and i got like 10 pages double sided of this stuff as a work package, with 20 questions on each side of each sheet! thanks!
Thank you so much. I couldn’t understand this subject in class and every video I’ve watched I seem to get lost somewhere. You explained it perfectly. Hope you’re doing great!
please for the love of god if you aren't already an instructor, please become one. i just spent the last 2 hours in my lecture thinking what the hell is this guy talking about. and you made me understand in 5 min!! thank you.
thankyou so much, i am in grade 11 uni prep, and unfortunatley i have a horrible teacher, our class average is 60 thats the lowest class average ive ever seen before personally, now you have done a better job then she could ever do, thankyou very much
this was a great video!!! today in math we were tasked with doing a question like this by teaching ourselves using her example and at the end of the 75 minutes i had nothing but after watching this 5 minute video this stuff is just as easy as the "easy case" questions. thanks a million!
Me: [writing everything down and copying his equation and keeping up] 4:23 "is there anything in common here? Of *course* there is- we just checked! They both have _'(2x-3)'_ " Also me: *WOAH WHAT THE HELL-*
This helped me soooooooo much for summer school thank you I forgot how to do it and you just helped me regain my memory of how to turn a standard form into a factored form.
Thank you so much! Greatly appreciated! Have many questions to have finished for homework, i was lost, and found this! Thanks again! Also, do you know if there is any way to find the 2 numbers that multiply and add, like an easier way? or a formula?
In our school, we learned to use the MAN method (easier to recall) combined with Berry method for quickly factoring trinomials. M means multiply two numbers that equal ac or c. A means add two numbers that once multiplied equal to b. N means the numbers that you got as a result of finding the two terms that make up b. Use Berry Method to factor the trinomial given the two terms.
Thank you, but I wonder if any student ask you "why?" Why this happens? This is a question we answer in our country by solving and not memorizing some steps, but in Canadian schools, I never heard this question!
this way of doing it is more complicated then the way i was taught. instead of breaking down the 5 look at the 2x squared. what multiplies to give you that? 2x and x is the only combination. so put those in separate brackets with room for another number. now look back at your 2x. can you get -3 or 8 from that? yeah, you can get 8 by multiplying by 4. so put +4 in the bracket on the right. now look at x. that can be multiplied by -3 to give -3. put that in the bracket on the rleft and boom you are done. its hard to explain by typing but for me it is way easier.
This man needs an award

because most math teachers are bad english teachers. and english teachers dont teach math, otherwise it would be easier.
Honestly my teacher rushes everything! She talks like she a ****ing auctioneer
This video helped so much thank you, I missed a lot of school last week and my teacher would teach me the stuff I missed even though I was willing to go in after class so this should help me for my test tomorrow
this taught me more that 2 teachers did in a year. thanks for making it so slow for idiots like me, lol
Thank you! I was smiling watching this… weeks of confusion all explained in 5 minutes. Such a relieving feeling
Just saved me from failing my exam. Thanks!
THANK YOU! I'm going into my sophomore year in college and have never had a teacher or professor explain it in a way that makes sense like this!
Exactly
You sir, are a blessing. You literally explained in 5 minutes what my math teacher taught me in a whole 1 and a half hour block and I actually understood it!
You made me understand something I’ve been trying to learn for a week in a math class in 5 minutes. God bless you
ByCals I bet you’re real sexy
Jack Clarke
Unoriginal
ByCals ah come on wdym brother I made that line
Thank you for not having a boring in other words monotone voice. Makes it more understandable.
"This is crap" , i loled
"eeeww no it's not just an 'X squared' out front there's a 2 there... well that's crap" haha had me crackin up
Thanks a bunch! i got a 5 day out of school suspension for smoking pot in school, and i got like 10 pages double sided of this stuff as a work package, with 20 questions on each side of each sheet! thanks!
I watched this vid 1 time and understood it better than what my teacher thaught me in a whole class XD
Trinity Force relatable
Trinity Force i feel the same lol
right? i sat there the entire class lost on the steps then this guy slows it down and im doing the assignments fine
You are one of the few great people in this world. I had no clue on the last step.
love how slow he went, so easy

THANK YOU!! I've been struggling so much with my math homework... This video is a life saver! and so much simpler than another way I was being taught!
do u still use this every day since your out of school haha
I have been trying to get this since last year and now I finally get it! Great video
I've been struggling with his for literally months! This one video made me see it. thanks!!
Very Good Teacher, I missed a class and needed this lesson to catch up. Thanks!
Good job. I missed a class hen we covered this, and Im still at their level after watching and practicing this. Thank you.
Thank you so much!!!! My teacher told us that the only way he uses is decomposition but my teacher last year used the box method!!!
Unbelievably helpful, you sir are a champion!
very helpful, have an exam today and i couldnt find any of my notes on decomposition, this really saved me, thanks for uploading it :)
Thank you so much. My math teacher never taught us this and just expected us to know it. Made calculus tougher than it should have been.
I'm in grade 10 precalc (+applied) and I failed my test. I have a re-write tomorrow and you, my friend, just saved me from failing again! Thank you!
Thank you so much, Math Man!
thank you for this, helped me revise this method before my test... haven't factored in over a year
This helped me soooooooo much for summer school thank you I forgot how to do it and you just helped me regain my memory of how to turn a standard form into a factored form.
You rock! I totally understood everything! Thank-you very much, sir.
Thank you sooooo much! You explained it very well. You deserve an award!

I know this video was posted a while ago, but seriously thank you! You helped me so much!!
You're the goat man, I love you so much. Thanks for saving me on my unit test
Just checking in, as I do. You've helped me again. Thank you so much.
DUDE MA GUY YOU SAVWD MY LIFE
Dude this helped so much! I have a test tomorrow and the only thing holding me back was being able to factor properly. Great video!
Using the website provided (by the school) I've spent the last forty minutes in class on two questions alone. This video is god like.
Thanks man slightly clearer than some other videos.
Thank you. Video explained factoring very well for me and I needed it as a review for Algebra 2. Keep it up making good videos!
You just saved me from failing a math test thank you so much!
thank you so much i have not understood this for so many months !
Great video! I learned this last year in grade 10 but I have unfortunately forgotten the steps and need a refresher. This helped a lot!
Thank you! You explain this so much better than MY math teacher.
God bless this man, he saving my math grades.
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO MAKES SENSE.
I have to watch this every year… thank you!
ya still watch it

my teacher couldn't explain this so thank you, got a unit test in 2 days it a life saver
hey thank you so much man learnt this crap in 5 minutes rather than having my teacher try it for weeks
Thank you so much, made it real easy for me, i'll never forget!
Great video dude! Really helped me out for functions that I was stuck in.
Dude I love you :) my teacher could never teach me this and you just did! Awesome!
Thank you, factorization of quadratics was pissing me off bad. This video helped.
Thank you sooooo much! I did not understand until you explained it!!!! :)
Needed a refresher. Thx boss
Omg this helped me so much! best vid on decomposition yet!
I finally get it! Thank you!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I'll actually pass my math exam now...
Omg ur so good at explaining man!. our teachers take classes upon classes to teach this stuff. u it literally took less than 6 minutes

thank you this helped me so much with understanding this concept
THANK YOU SO MUCH, hilarious when you said "well thats crap"
Thank you, but I wonder if any student ask you "why?"
Why this happens? This is a question we answer in our country by solving and not memorizing some steps, but in Canadian schools, I never heard this question!
this dude really came in with a clutch
This is gorgeous!
"Well that's crap" lmao. Thanks for the vid man. Need it for calculus.
Thank you, I was struggling with this, you helped a lot!

This is how I was taught. It's so much easier than this video
i wonder how many more people this video will help understand so well
it finally all makes sense...I FEEL SOMEWHAT SMARTER NOW!!!!!!!!!!! :D now to remember this for my test...
The hardest part is finding what fucking multiplies and adds to both numbers, the rest is easy
you're a life saver !!!!
