I don't blame Harlan Sanders one bit for being upset, but even when I was a kid in the 1970's it was still great and the aroma of the chicken made my mouth water every time I entered the restaurant. Nowadays the quality is worse and its vastly overpriced. I miss the old Kentucky Fried Chicken and hate the modern day KFC.
Nothing was a better treat than the real-deal Kentucky Fried Chicken they made in the 1970s! Modern- era KFC isn't even close! It's sad to see what they've done to it.
Yeah, I love the long, combination of businessman history, and food history is killer. Especially the length would be cool occasionally thrown in! 🤟🏻😊❤️💯
I would love to take a road trip to visit the statues of Orville Redenbacher, Chef Boyardee, and the Kool-Aid Man. I already wanted to take one to Detroit to see the RoboCop statue so including these make the trip obligatory. Namaste ❤❤❤
Same. But popping popcorn over an open fire, in a fireplace, or stovetop is not at all difficult and I've done all 3 even though we got a microwave in the mid 80s or so. I can even remember what the Orville redenbacher box of popcorn kernels look like it was white and it had like the shape of a television and said like TV popcorn on it with his picture! We never even had an air popper because it was so unnecessary 😂❤
@ that sounds so cool man I grew up in the 2000s and missed out on cool 70,80 packaging it’s so cool looking no stupid warning labels everywheee and disclaimers
I swear like a sailor and it’s kind of funny because my mom doesn’t swear but every time I’m around, it brings it out of her and it’s hilarious! A nice church going woman swearing like a sailor is hilarious. Don’t care who you are. It’s funny 😂
Would be nice if Chef Boyardee still selled those spaghetti kits with the pasta, sauce and parmesan cheese. The canned spaghetti is okay, but cooking the pasta yourself is better, and I can't remember how many times I've made spaghetti but ran out of parmesan cheese on hand. Those spaghetti kits included everything you needed.
Interesting/informative/entertaining 😉. Purchased probably(15) Colonel Sanders chicken 🐔 orders to go(10) & years ago😋 " Shake & Bake my own chicken 🐔now.. Purchase Uncle Orville's ( Bo-Go) ultimate butter pop corn 😋 . Makes for ultimate Christmas stocking stuffers😉. On occasion I eat the chef's over stuffed beef & sausage ravioli😋.. Haven't purchased from Uncle Dave's chili or baked potato in (10) + years. Prefer (2) other mom & pop establishments in the Melbourne Florida 🐊 region😋. Perhaps purchased Taco Bell burritos (12) times (20)+years ago. Purchase from Mexican food restaurant establishments. 😋.. Better quality. Consume fruit mixed with my Jello😋. Drank " Kool -Aid as a kid😋. Never attended a pizza 🍕 entertainment establishment😭. Excellent still-motion photography pictures 📷. Enabling viewers 👀 to better understand what/whom the orator is describing. On occasion I'll purchase Little Debbie's ( Nutty Buddy ) bars ( Swiss Rolls )😋.
I’m only through half of the series but we’ve probably only had a Wendy’s for 15 to 20 years now and it’s still only one even though we have over 130,000 people and it’s on the most insane side of town that all the rich people live in that unless I have to go there I won’t, I’d rather go to Whataburger which has about 6 or more places in town
KFC 🍗 is not doings so well in Omaha, Nebraska they've closed down many of their restaurants during the past 3 years 😮. And Chicfella is getting better at cooking chicken 🐔 sandwiches 🥪 😀 . Popeyes Chicken 🐔 is also good 👍.
Fascinating. This compilation offers a great deal of new information. Excellent stuff. Thank you. I am aware of Col Sanders at least. A KFC opened up in the late 1990s in a nearby town. The place has since closed. It was never packed, but the food was better than Maccy D's. As for the rest; Nope, never experienced them. Did North Americans really accept a small dog as a Fast Food mascot? I find that hard to swallow. Chef Boyardee? I thought this was a fabrication for the movies, much like 555. Kool aid Man; Aside from the wrongful association with Jonestown there was Family Guy to make this brand known to us. Did they ever try to sell Kool Aid in the UK? Blackcurrant juice has flooded the market over here. Mac the Knife? That sounds Mental. Maccy D's is unpopular enough, without the need for more grotesque mascots. That Roland McDonald scares the Bejesus out of children. It is always fun to learn what has been going on across the pond. Cheers.
Fork me, little debbie has way more 💩 than I thought they had. Most look/sound pretty tasty too! (too bad I can't afford to throw money away on garbage food, regardless of how deliciously fattening it may be)
Having ANOTHER Weird History drink! Drinking Sprecher Ginger Ale*†...while watching this Weird History video! It has a penguin image on the front...their mascot should be Dindim from the movie My Penguin Friend! This is my celebratory drink for the presidential election! * Inspired by the Weird History videos about soda and mascots! † It is in a 16 oz glass bottle from Menards.
More of these marathons sometimes I just listen to it while I try to sleep
So do I.
@donnajacques3781 try some Bob Ross 5 hours it's soo good
@@ricoviii1👀 I think you're into something we should have known years ago.
Thank you for the compilation of the favorite food mascot, Weird History Foods. I enjoy watching and listening to these while eating or drawing.
Y'all did real good with this one. I just got to Chef Boyardee and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Hector Boiardi wrote it as it sounded.
His distant cousin Anna now owns it.

RIP Gidget, you beautiful successful adorable angel ♥
My mom met the Colonel whilst working at KFC in the 70s. She says he was extremely polite and charming.
...how close do you look to the Colonel?
Thanks for so interesting and valuable video as always ❤❤❤
Yeah, I love the long, combination of businessman history, and food history is killer. Especially the length would be cool occasionally thrown in! 🤟🏻😊❤️💯
I'm old enough to remember Colonel Sanders in all of the KFC commercials, until he passed in 1980.
I would love to take a road trip to visit the statues of Orville Redenbacher, Chef Boyardee, and the Kool-Aid Man. I already wanted to take one to Detroit to see the RoboCop statue so including these make the trip obligatory. Namaste ❤❤❤
Love these vids
Love this channel!

A real boss, he cared for his food
Dave was also Adopted too.
Love the stories
The Arch Deluxe is back and Chicken Big Mac.

You didn't mess with this Colonel.
Col Sanders sounds like a real life Buck Strickland
You have to do even more food Mascots please the only videos that I actually watch

I might have missed it, but have y'all done one for Tastykakes? Having grown up in PA, now living in WA, I miss them so much.
We'll be electing cartoon mascots next.
Yeah good thing we didn't elect the cartoon mascot that was running this time .
Didn't we just do that? We just elected a blonde Cheeto
@@alexr.138 no your think of laughing girl . 🤣🤣🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Noid for president
@augustuswayne9676 huh? She didn't get elected and she's also not blonde....
Sanders had a salty tongue and Volcanic temper.
The centipede will always be my favorite food mascot
I miss the gravy, don't know what happened but! IT used to be delicious 😋
A+ video!
LOVE IT! Fantastic Food Mascot Odyssey!

Not like that anymore, have you seen your local Kentucky fried chicken? 😂🤮
I am forever on teen Popeye's Louisiana kitchen😂😂😂
Dave Thomas' Adopted sister Wendy nee Melinda now owns Wendy's
It's owned by some big corporation now the same one that owns Arby's
Quite frankly Wendy's Restaurants has the best hamburger 🍔 😋 👌.
About an hour into this I finally found out what happened to the Chihuahua.
What about the Magical Burger King and his cast of characters that appeared on commercials in the late 70s?
Act 2 movie theater butter slaps and pop serect got that spicy and hot one which is fire
At 7:39 the family photo, sanders looks just like Dave Thomas. Thomas was famously on orphan. Could Thomas have been Sanders’ bastard?
Pepsico aka Yum! Foods now owns it.
McDonalds was owned by Brothers sold to Ray Kroc.
Sanders is related to me. All my family is from Henryville, Otisco, Maysville and Nabb/ New Wash
I went to school with a girl whose last name was Wrobleski. I wonder if she was related to chef Boiardi's (Boyardee) wife?🤔
Who knew this would be the last time we get this narrator
Did they say why they switched?
@ not that I’m aware of
What the fuck are you talking about!?
Tell 'em where you're from, Colonel.
Straight outta Corbin.
is that moonman?
you though it was invented by some site instead of being "borrowed"?
Put some respect on Mac Tonight's name.
Nah that's Hank Steel. Look him up he makes great music.
♫ Moon man moon man can't you see..♪

Ah ! You should never drink 🍸 alcohol if you aren't good at drinking alcohol 😮. Stick with drinking water 😊.

The Taters like Library Paste and the gravy Crap! That is his critique.
Unlucky Fried Kitten.
Tom Blanks voice is off here too.
My maiden name is Bushnell ❤❤❤
Harmons in Salt Lake City still claims to be the original KFC
Oh no not Hank Steel
Dolly Madison mascot resembled James Madison's wife, Dolly Madison
I have to laugh. I'm 67 now, and really didn't like Col. Sanders the person even as a youngster. He seemed mean and I assumed racist.

Imagine seeing ads about watermelon, but only black communities in the ad alone. How would that make others feel? Lmfao - Oh wait..
Sicker than your average

They should created an animatronic piano restaurant called Mac Tonight!

Never tried the ginger ale. My choice is the cream soda.😊
Colonel Sanders 4 President
I'm 42 and have only ate at Wendy's once, and it was gross
*BLASPHEMER*
they ran out of ideas, oh well
I dont get the whole chihuahua thing. chihuahuas are a Mexican dog breed named after the city Chihuahua. I bet only white people were offended.
how brainwashed is anyone that thinks it is kidnapping involving your own child
I boycotting Mickey D's because of Trump.
Shudup cracka
Go ahead. Their general employees are dumbass liberals like you anyway. Fucking loser.
Good for yoooooooouu! That'll show em
There’s a lot of reasons to boycott McDonald’s, but Trump shouldn’t even make it on the list.
