Looking forward to the course! I feel pretty confident with this palo, but always welcome new falsetas and compas variation.
Thank you maestro !
I feel you really explain this so well. Can you recommend a Seguiriyas for dance? It is difficult to find, but I love it! Thank you so much!
Thank you💛
You're very welcome!
Top. Yes, the pace and slowing down is a matter setting, feel and what you want to express. Correct?
Yes to feeling and expression, always with the caveat that you stay in compás!
Cheers,
Kai
Hi i have a question, are there any flamenco techniques used for bass? And if so what are the differences between using those techniqes on bass vrs guitar?
So I’m not a bass player, but I’d say that in general flamenco bass players are using more or less normal bass techniques. I’ve seen folks play around with tremolo and with abanico-style rasgueados, and of course scales and arpeggios are already pretty similar between guitar and bass. Did I understand your question correctly?
@Flamenco Explained yes. i was wondering because i have watched some videos on "Slap bass" and some of the techniques look simulacra in concept, although, they do not use the same Compas. I know in some Sabicas pieces the "Flamenco Thumb" is use quite alot, and was wondering if that can also be used on electric bass - with out shredding your fingers....
How much is it in stiriing?Love to join if not too expensive
You can try it free for 7 days, but wait until the seguirilla course comes out if that’s why you’re joining - should be another week or so. It’s $19.99 us a month or 199 a year for access to everything on the site. Cheers!
Is it my imagination or are there lots of edits because even Kai finds it difficult to match up the playing and the counting?
Blabla over 🤕
Spain is a western country …. Referring to ‘western music’ in contrast to flamenco …. Is wrong!
I know this is late, but by “western music” he is specifically referring to western classical music theory.
