@@beatrizlarson3628 Thank you Beatriz. I've seen shirts made into pillows before as memorials, but not aprons. It just seemed like another great idea. I wish I'd saved some of my Dad's shirts. I never knew my grandpas.

Hello Mark . I hope you're having a wonderful weekend . I have always loved this idea. Your directions are one of the easiest I have ever watched. These could also be used as adult bibs for seniors at nursing facilities. Just make them a little shorter. You could also use women's blouses with the laces and pin tucks to create very feminine adult bibs or aprons. I'm going to look through some of my mother's blouses to see what I can find. Besides creating quilts like my family did when we were kids or pillows, another way to recycle clothing fabric would be to cut them into bias strips and sew them together in one long strip then crochet the strips into rag rugs or circular/Cube storage containers that can be placed on shelving in your craft room or Studio. Rag rugs could also be created to the dimensional size needed as nap mats in preschool or daycare.
What a neat idea! I have made cell phone pockets and cuff bracelets from men's shirts, and also used parts of shirts for embellishments on purses. A lot of uses for old clothing! Hooe you are having a great weekend!

Heads to bedroom to plug in phone. Notices a new video 17 minutes ago. 🙄 why???!!!!! Sparks interest: an upcycle video. 🤔 (he knows!) watches intently just to make sure he’s cutting along the bias. (Knows another way, but doesn’t comment) all the while mesmerized by the fabric because it’s not a solid color. (must have done that on purpose) 🤔 what could he have up his ‘sleeve’? 😂 decides to watch the video a second time because the comments are way too long. (No way!) WAY! Realizes it’s 14 minutes past the time that the phone was to be charged. Still needs to comment on the question: 🙋♀️ “I know!!!” Decides to go to sleep instead and comment later. 😴 (much later)…. To be continued….
I restore antique and vintage dolls. I recycle old clothes and make doll clothes out of them. I sew bits and pieces of fabric together to make a larger piece of fabric to make pillows and aprons. It makes my brain hurt to see things wasted. I guess I'm a little nutty that way. Have a great day. 😊

Hellooooo Anishinaabe from Idaho!
Hello Mark
Helloooooo Kym!
T-shirt bags.
Yes indeed Cheryl!
Great idea Cheryl!
We could make clothes, quilts, pillows, and quilt vest for winter, for the homeless.
Ms. L. Churchill
Awesome ideas Ms. L!
A bunch of quilts could be made from all that fabric
You know it! I think that's the best idea yet!
🤩
Well, thank you!
Kissssssssssss. You are Ssssooo fabulous
YOU are fabulous!
Always great to read your comments!
Not nutty at all. I think we toss the most amazing craft supplies and don't even know it! My Instagram if you're Insta-rested! instagram.com/themarkmontano/reels/

Good morning friend! Happy Friday!
Quilts for the homeless and those in nursing care facilities.
That is the BEST idea Krickette! You rock!
👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤😘
So many old shirts and so little time.
We could make clothes for homeless people.
Yes indeed! I mean, there are so many clothes out there that we don't use and that is such a simple solution! Just take out a truck and help people stay warm and protected!

Thanks for the LOVE!
Why the stupid music?
To annoy stupid people.....
Wow! great job!. This has motivated me to make one like this. Thank you.
You're so welcome! I make such a mess in my craft room and I always ruin my clothes if I don't wear an apron. Always! It's Murphy's law!
