Alt F10 did not work for me so what I did was shutdown the laptop completely then press assist button and press or tap tap F10 then after a few other choices I chose vaio care recovery solutions Thank you for this videooo!

Amazing, it actually took me to disk diagnostic, ran for about 5 mins then started working again so thank you Problem; my sony vaio 15.5’ touchscreen wouldn’t fully load. I could log in but nothing else would happen.. FIXED!

I failed behind to self repair the lap top. I have had the old VGN Sony Xp lab top window 1993-1995 . I tried to learn and I put it in the c hard ware recovery through punching the F10 like you . After finishing , when I played the internet ,the browser not working . I tried to search more to turn the browser on but could not . Is that : Probably I did not register in Sony product that was why it did not let me use any browser workable in any circumstances after put it back to the original manufacturer recovery c mode . What can I do to let the browser work after having the wireless internet already fully turned on ?

My husband has factory reset his older Sony Vaio computer. Ever since he has done so the internet isn't working. It just shows error when trying to use it. It is connected via WiFi and we've also tried connecting it via Ethernet cable, neither way seems to make a difference.

you can hook up a regular desktop screen to the laptop and the picture will show up on that screen. Check and see if your computer has an HDMI port and then connect a desktop screen to the laptop with that hdmi cord. IF it doesn't have an hdmi then it will definately have a VGA port. The VGA port is little blue female input on the laptop. You will have to find an older desktop monitor that also has an hdmi port and get a vga cord that connects the screen to the sony. its easy to get the image on the sony. Start up your laptop while plugged into the laptop and tap the FN key button along with the Function key on top of your sony keyboard that looks like a computer screen.

Hi there, I was trying to do a factory reset on my vaio and it got stuck on 6%. So I forced it to shutdown, now the laptop is stuck on choose an operating system and keep rebooting and coming back to choose an operating system. Any idea what do I do? Cheers

Help. When i press alt f10, it says "BOOTMGR is missing press ctrl alt del to restart." If i do, it will start and not go to recovery option :(
Is this the reason you want to restore is because you can't get into the current operating system and getting BOOTMGR?
