Very well demonstrated! Mr. Wizard (a science show for US and Canadian kids) also demonstrated the concept of topology quite cleverly in showing how you could find your way to the exist of maze by simply keeping your hand on one surface of the wall continually as you walked (or, use pencil in the same way on a paper maze). It goes to show that even seemingly complex concepts like topology can be taught to children (and older adults!) if the presenter can do so in an engaging way! Magic and mazes in these cases!
