Great video! The very start of this video where he talks about being a normal gamer and not a speed runner, this is so important and anyone who is watching this video should really take his words to heart and understand that YOU CAN DO THIS. Glad to see people making guides like this and helping people get their S+ ranks. I had already unlocked my S+ but this video still taught me some tricks I didn't know before. Grats to anyone reading this comment who has unlocked their S+ rank. You rock!
Still trying to get my S+ rank. I'm so used to grabbing everything and taking my time so this helps out big time to skim through the game and grab only what I need.
No man, don't second guess the talking. I want to know the reasons why we are passing up this item or grabbing that one. You keep right on talking bud.
I am a slow learner, controller has stick drift, and after roughly 9 hours with all the fails and get gud experience, I HAVE DONE IT, don't care i am 3 years late. It's all thanks to this man. This video truly is the ultimate everyman's guide
I know exactly the pain of that stick drift. You did great man. I’ve already got all the weapons but this guide ironically taught me all the safe strats which I used in my speedrun. Very awesome video that I come back to just as a stress reliever

@@jimmmy7680 you have cushion time to keep going if needed. I would only keep going though if it was a clean run without needing too much ammo or heals. If I took some damage or missed more than needed I would probably restart. You'll only get faster
I've never been one to tackle speedruns but, since I breezed thru Inferno RE3R (not really lol) just for fun, I and to go and try it in RE2R. The fever that hit me as soon as I restarted over and over at the gas station was so bad I had to rethink everything. I found this guide, followed it step by step and was able to finish my first ever S+ in 2:06:56, and even missed a few stuff along the way because I'm a complete idiot, this guide totally reversed my zombification. Now I kinda wanna go for Claire's, and get RE4R while I'm at it so I can get that fever goin' again. Superb guide
Don’t know if you ever get this but, to me, you’re like the Bob Ross or video gamers. The way you said how you can make mistakes and you’re not perfect. Let alone your helpfulness, your chill attitude and overall demeanor is why I subscribed to you. You seem so positive I wanted to throw some positivity back at ya, keep up the great content!
I agree. I know I was scared as all hell watching him just casually walking by Lickers in his Jill guide. I'm thinking this guy's out of his damn mind.
I totally agree, Greenville. Darkness makes his walkthroughs very easy to follow, and realistic. He even makes mistakes along the way, which shows things don't always go as planned. Still, he pulled through and showed it can be done. I got my S+ rank on Leon's A-campaign with plenty of time to spare. Next, S+ for Claire.
Absolutely, I also agree! "We're gonna go around this corner, and... you know what? We took some damage there, so we're just gonna use this green herb, and we aren't gonna worry about it. No problem. Not a problem. We're gonna get it back. No stress." :)
Let’s go!!! Just got an S+ on Hardcore in only 1:56:44 on my first attempt going for S ranking thanks to your guide! I had only beaten Leon A, Leon B, and Claire A on standard prior to this. This guide was phenomenal and hope you make some guides for Resident Evil 4 when the remaster comes out in a couple of months! Great video Darkness, I appreciate it
FOR ANYONE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE WILLIAM BIRKIN KNIFE FIGHT count the hits our boy does with the knife!!! 14 then grenade, 16 then flash, 11 then switch knives, then slash until he ded. I had so much trouble with this part and then tried this strat and did it first try. godspeed everyone!
Thanks man. I did it but got grabbed so I had to be in Danger. I didn't wanna use the knife because it was the good one. It's alright that I got hit. Btw I'm not even doing a S+ run right now. It's my First Hardcore run as Leon. I beat Claire A on Hardcore and now I wanna do Leon A Hardcore. And I'm using this Guide to make it past really hard Sections while I'm trying to get most Areas Blue. And I'm gonna use the Infinite Knife just because he's my Best Friend in this game. Plus I believe this is the only game where you have Durability on Knifes so I don't care. Gonna use both the Durability knifes Strategy and use the Infinite Knife to kill most Zombies. Oh and I haven't gotten hit once this playthrough. I like how I let myself get hit so I don't Sacrifice my Knife. Semper Fi!
if he grabs you and you use one of your knifes to break free, it's actually more efficient! it happened to me and killed him faster, I didn't even have to flash him
@@thattyrant3647 I play on xbox one and i have the same issue as you. I tried many times and it's always take me more than 80 knife hits to kill him. In Darkness's guides for Leon and claire it took him around 50 knife hits to kill him. So either it's because we play on xbox or maybe they patched something.
My guess is because you’ve been hitting headshots and the game has an adaptive setting where they will make the monsters stronger for players, meaning the game will be harder to proceed.
@@777Justmusic Interesting. Do you think I could manipulate this in a dummy run by purposely missing every shot and dying a lot? Or would a few good headshots in my S+ run re-enable the enemy-strengthening pretty quickly?
@@PowahKordz im not 100% sure how exactly this works, but basically there is a score in game which determines the "difficulty". when you get hit, miss shots, die etc. that score goes down, so the game will be somewhat easier. but as soon as you start killing things, doing good stuff, that score goes up again. so yes, you can make it technically easier, but not for too long. also, in hardcore you start out initially with a higher score than the two easier modes, so there it isn't as useful again, im not 100% about this, so if i made any mistakes please someone correct me
Outside of Claire A, I took a break from trying to get my hardcore S+ on Hardcore. I’ve just restarted Leon A & going it for it again when I’m off again. I must have the worst timing as he’s always several minutes behind his times.
For Leon's desk, the "missing" nametag is on the floor by the desk that is missing it. Although you dont need that now, just thought I'd put that out there.
Yeah It's on the floor, but most people clear the room since its a convenient shortcut. If you disturb the sitting zombie you usually end up killing him on top of that Elliot's nameplate.
@@RuberDildo And then there's someone like me who just brute forced all of those locks my first time through. I didn't know yet how soon you'd get the combos given to you, and it's only 216 possible solutions for each lock. That sounds like a lot, but it really doesn't take more than a few minutes if you're used to it. Edit: To be clear, I'm not suggesting anyone should do it that way. Just saying that that's how I did it.
I just want to say this, while this video is over 2 years old, thank you for respecting the viewers time. The way you speak, is like a coach, you cut the bs, straight to the point, do this, if you cant do this. I greatly respect that.
Subscribed! 4 years later, these guides still help people all around. Got the minigun, got the rocket launcher, and enjoyed a fun, chill and very through commentary of what is happening all throughout the guide Amazing video!
I really appreciate the level of quality you put into this video as well as the sheer simplicity of it. It's not overly edited and is very easy to understand and follow. Sincerely, thanks for making this! I hope you have even more success in the coming months/years!
Much safer crate birkin strategy that ends up with you saving ammo: take everything he said and throw the grenade at the beginning. Instead of using handgun, use flamethrower. Use 100 flame and he should fall quickly. Knife 14 or 15 times. Repeat. Then bait him to where the crane would hit him if hes not already there, throw a flash, activate crate, shoot a few handgun rounds, throw second flash, couple more handgun rounds. Boom done. Very quick, easy, and used the same amount of flames he did. But saved a TON of handgun ammo. I left the fight with 60. Its more every man as you dont have to be precise with the flamethrower. Also, feel free to heal if needed.
There is something so satisfying about going to records and seeing multiple things unlock, but there is nothing more satisfying than beating the game S+ and seeing you unlocked so much.
This is still the best walkthrough ever made!!! If you’re trying on hardcore or just normal! S+ or not!! Darkness still gives you so much info and he gets you to the end without skipping on some of the best commentary I’ve ever heard! Love you darkness!
Big Facts. I completed my normal Hardcore Playthrough thanks to his "Take everything but..." Strategy. That Strategy I'm gonna do in every RE game that's gonna ever Exist. Even the OG. The only RE game I've played is this one but man that Strategy is useful. No matter the playthrough. You're just stacked up with Ammo and Heals. Gotta love that Shield Heal.
24:05 I love how vocal you are. Your communication is awesome, so many other videos it’s just dude staring at the screen playing but you actually explain everything. I love it.
you should be a motivational speaker - actually nvm you are. "am I sweating?" "Don't worry, it's fine" - calming us down during the ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE ... we don't deserve you
this has to be the best guide ever! I'm not a great gamer and I'm going to be honest, it took me a bit to pass after the first save but after so many tries, I finally was able to pass it! now I'm on my second save and I'm excited to continue tomorrow. you're great at explaining and guiding us through, even to the gamers that aren't great at games like me lol I really appreciate this vid even though it's been more than four years. at one point I was seriously thinking about quitting after trying to pass the first boss battle with William Birkin, but I pushed through, and it paid off well. thank you so much!
This video truly is the everyman's guide! My aim sucks, I got hit more than Darkness did, couldn't get that extra pouch at the end, but I still had enough ammo and heals to get through it. Trust me, I suck at video games but even I did it with this guide! I finished in 2 hours and 28 mins! Thanks man!
For someone who hasn’t done hardcore before, I thought I wasn’t gonna make it, but here I am with 1:54:39 and with that sweet s+ next to it... I can’t thank you enough (Edit: that was my time, not pointing out anything in the video)
Just finished it!! A little over 2 hours. Thank you so much, this guide was amazing. The best game guide I've encountered on the internet in years. Literally couldn't have done it without you.
Can’t lie dude, this got an instant like and sub from me. I haven’t seen anyone do such a detailed and easy explanation of how to do a run like this. I found myself having an easier time just playing through the game, pausing and watching you play for a bit, and then copying whatever you did. Safe to say I’ve become pretty damn good at speed running this game. Keep up the amazing work dude, and again, Thank you so much for this.
Dude your strategies saved me so many times. You are a true gamer because of your companionship, your friendliness, your wit, and your deep knowledge of this game and for certain others. As a new RE fan thank you.
This was the guide that got me to my first S+. Entertaining, easy to listen to and watch, and I love the fact that you kept in the mistakes and minor inconveniences that happens sometimes during a run, while encouraging and emphasizing the strategies giving you the leeway to make up time and recover from unexpected situations. In my opinion this is the best part of your walk throughs. A true everyman's guide. Well done sir 👏
Need a B run guide for both characters, everyone else is just No damage no save.....help us out Darkness, your guides are great. Smashed the A runs thanks to you. 😎😉
I know this is an old comment, but he has one for Leon B. I still haven’t seen an Everyman‘a guide for Claire B...though I noticed he has a Claire B using only handguns.
My dude... I'm a very picky gamer whereas there are only maybe 2 games a year that I truly enjoy. With that said, I unlock everything I possibly can on the games that I enjoy and play the game to the fullest potential (complete all content, knife only, every difficulty, handicaps to make more of a challenge etc). I'm also a novice speedrunner mostly in horror games. I've watched TONS of speed run / walkthrough videos for YEARS and never have I felt guided better and interacted with more than your video. It may sound cheesy and lame, but honestly you kept me chill through the game (so far) and it really felt like you were right there with me playing the game. PLEASE continue making content. You deserve insanely more views than you currently have. Thank you very much. Liked/Subscribed/Notifications ON. That first Birkin fight is one of the best I've seen. UhTrance is probably the only one that might be more efficient... he's a freak of nature at SpeedR tho.
Really liked this guide. Found a link on the RE subreddit last night and ended up watching the whole thing. Now gonna attempt to run through the game with your help. Your commentary is great, I really enjoyed this video.
Definitely subbing from these videos, I had honestly tossed the idea out the window from the get go that I'd ever get the S+ achievements and whatnot, thanks a lot for this dude!
This is truly the best guide video I’ve ever seen. Easy to follow, makes you feel confident, explanations for every move. I don’t normally comment but this video deserves all the love! Bravo
Goatcheesus right? Last night I followed his guide and made it to the end of the RPD at 25:52 and he’s like if it’s over 25 restart. I’m like nope. Kept going got to the dogs the first one jumped past and managed to kill both but was wounded. I like how he says this is the every mans guide and how he makes mistakes on screen and doesn’t edit it out. Makes following his guides way more relatable than anyone else’s.
I just wanna say thank you so so much, Darkness! I haven't done this in hardcore but since it was my first time going Standard and getting an S rank, the first thing that came to mind was to thank you once I finished it. I was so happy to get the Leon "S." Kennedy achievement and the infinite handgun. Your guides are so easy to follow and you're so easy to listen to. Kinda feels like having a big bro walk you through such a scary game and help you enjoy it hahahaha Now that I don't feel as scared of RE2 anymore, I believe I'm ready to try your guide in hardcore. Wish me luck!
I did it 😭😭😩 Thank You for this AMAZING Guide! Honestly, I was relaxed with your guidance my dude. Really helped out my anxiety a lot 😂😂😂 thanks again! Highly recommended for others who don't believe they can do it 👍🏻
Hey dude, I’ve got S+ on everything now thanks to you. You put a lot of time and effort into truly making this an everymans guide. I hope you feel a sense of pride and achievement for this because you deserve it. Much gratitude my guy.
The part where you get the last medallion... I just walk out into the open, wait for the licker to drop, and run right at him, angling just slightly to the right of him (his left side)... he attacks but misses me every time and I just take the right turn and run to the door. Saves you a flash grenade.
Wish I read this before I died at that spot lol. Took me like 5 attempts to learn Birkin, and now third restart after that (damn dogs got me even when jiggling about)
I don’t know if you’ll see this but genuinely, thank you for this! I’ve recently become a big fan of RE and I love this game but was too scared to do it on hardcore. This helped me SO much and not only that but your jokes put me at ease. Thank you!
darkness im a year late but this guide and claires guide helped me get my first s+ for both, although i followed ur leon guide and did it in 1 hour 45 minutes. thank you for your guides keep it up man!!
Darkness: "Alright, ready to start this guide, now I don't want to make this too easy or quick, this is for *everyone* to learn" RNGesus: *_"You like headshots?"_*
And the subdued frustration was real when I later figured out my headshot RNG was so high I should’ve done it again. People mistakenly believe I could do it so easily because of that. Oh well. 🤷🏽♂️
@@DarknessJacksonGaming this is helpful still but RNGesus disgraced me because I only got two critical headshots so far (I'm at the crashed helicopter)
@@DarknessJacksonGaming as someone who used this guide recently and had absolutely terrible RNG with headshot crits I really was only a couple minutes behind (and that was partly due to messing about with Tyrant in the library) so it really didn't affect the times much for people to worry about.
@@giannisgiannitsaras after de 1st save you will fight G1, so only you need to take to the fight is 2 knifes, 1 flashbang and 1 hand grenade, if you dont have ammo to spare you shouldnt be worry about it, you can kill him only with the knifes and the grenades
Out of all the guides I’ve watched, yours are by far the best. Your personality and attitude genuinely made mistakes feel so much less stressful, and playing it alongside you realizing I was actually faster on my best run genuinely surprised me. I don’t think I’m bad, but time limits really affect how well I play the game. With someone reminding me not to stress out hard, it really helped. Normally I feel cheap using a guide, but this guide set me up to make my own decisions, and when it came down to it, I still developed the skill to do it myself. I did the sewers 6 times over, and only ever needed to watch you do it on the first one. Thank you!
I’m doing this now...I live on the border of Canada so there’s literally a diesel generator and satellite wifi...I get games I can play offline and this video I just came across and if your watching these comments in prep for RE3rem I’m about 5 mins ahead of you in time. I would only recommend a pause here and there to track time better. Great commentary Good leadership Always forward! Thanks
Man this is old so you probably won’t reply but I wanna thank you so so much for doing this you are honest to god my new favorite youtuber you explain things so well while still being funny I just can’t explain how thankful I am I compelled S+ across the board thanks to you keep it up fs 😁❤️
Thank you so much for all your help! It was an absolute joy running this. First time I played the game since 2019 and got through it with a couple hiccups. Must've ran super tyrant at least 20 times but low and behold, S+!!! Thanks Darkness, I'll be using your guides in the future for sure!
Aye honestly this is one of the best walkthrough/guides i have seen for a game ever. Fantastic job, i was confident i could get the S+ on my own but with some of your strats and advice i feel even more confident THANK YOU and keep up the good work!
Probably one of the best tutorials for this run. I like the way you reassure us about the items and enemy encounters. or maybe being a little slow. Well done.
Dude this guide is actually incredible. I beat this game one time a year ago and this was my first playthrough since then and i got the s+ first try you are a merical worker 🙏🏼
Been watching this video for a couple of days and using it to attempt my own S+ run, Feel like your a friend now Darkness used to hearing you talk about tactics to deal with the run. it is a really easy guide to follow, I never really comment on videos but I wanted to truly show my appreciation to you for making this! earlier this evening I started from the first Birkin knife fight and got all the way to just as the tyrant chases you through the door as Ada, due to a small mishap I missed activating the switch and the tyrant dropped me! I was gutted! 😨 I decided to try and run my first part again as was too late in the evening to try to get back to that point and managed to shave 4 minutes off my time getting it well within your 25 min grace point for getting under RPD! I will get that rocket launcher! Thank you, Your a legend! Best Commentary!
Got S+ finally, mostly following this guide. Had to reload the second and third saves a few times each, but the extra challenge made the finish line that much sweeter. Thanks!
I don’t know if this was mentioned but you can actually prevent the first zombie you see in the station from biting you later on by letting the zombie walk in the room and crawl on the desk, it takes a little more time but it definitely saves health
This is by far the best walkthrough i have ever seen and i have seen allot of them i like the fact that u actually explain why or why get this or that great job bro definitely like nd sub keep up good work
Rally Gaming You can see my latest video where I beat it on S... wasn’t aware of the time limit and infinite stuff so I basically thought I had 5 minutes left... I thought. I was 25 minutes late and was down to the bone on my supplies
You can't kill Mr X with the Rocket Launcher. He's invincible. That's what I liked about the OG RE2's Mr. X and Nemesis. Once you do enough damage, they at least get unconscious until they next scripted appearance. Remake's Mr. X getting stunned after a few hits is fine, but they shouldn't have made him invincible. At least made him unconscious for a few minutes once he receives a lot of damage.
@@SSJvegito501 well tbf he does stay down for 40 seconds giving you plenty of time to run. He was designed to take out the odd 10% that would be immune to the t virus. He is legit ment to be unstoppable so I think they did Mr x some justice in the remake.
With loads of emotional pain it caused me, all the time i've spent i have to thank you for helping me with this. Somehow i managed to do it with S+ rating. Learned sewers and died a bunch to 2nd Birkin. Very thorough
Best guide for this game yet. I'm only halfway through the first Leon scenario but I will absolutely be taking his same notes for another stab after the full story so I can get some sick infinite gear. Thanks a ton for making this.
Slight alteration: After Ada explodes the fan and drops down into the first room with one zombie in, take his leg off. He then doesn’t come back to get you on the way back to the elevator.
Don't need that thing ... Drop down get the door point visualize at the blue box turn off the power lock him in when thru door chubs is on you for right and down get ammo go downsteps turn around lady is there keep moving look when past lady find next zombie turn on keep moving get flash and ammo do not shoot anything or flash proceed to furnace... ONE SLICK SUPER SPY ...NO BULLETS
Bro this is LITERALLY the walkthrough that I was looking for! I'm hesitant to play horror games but still want to experience it first hand as well as have an S+ Rank at the end of it! Consider me subscribed man 10/10
I finally got my S+ thanks to this guide. Got bitten way more than you but you get so many heals in your guide so it’s ok. The hardest part was the beginning of RPD and Birkin fight 1 but the rest wasn’t so bad
I know I'm late to completing this game, considering it came out in 2019, but this guide was seriously one of the best I've ever followed. I love your approach to "nothing has to be perfect". If you made misstakes, you improvised, and it was easy for me to improvise as well. Overall, an achievement I thought was gonna be super stressfull turned out to be fun and enjoyable!
Wow! After 3 years you're still helping players out. I love this video, very detailed and professional. Simply the best. Will be subbing. Thanks for the great help.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Darkness! Your video really helped me shave off at least 10+ min and made me more confident on HARDCORE MODE! Our combined strategies helped me nail this down to a science and I’m so grateful to have watched this!
I know it's 3 years late, but your guide just helped me get S+ as Leon earlier! Your tips made this SO much easier and much more managable to take on! I caught a couple snags, (G-Adults in lower sewers and Berkin 2) but your guide made these sections much easier! Thanks again!
Thanks man got me the s+rank can’t stress how much this helped. Wasn’t going to try till I saw your video and you made me think I can do this pls keep making videos like this. YOU THE MAN.
Hey, newcomers following this guide, if you're worried about dodging that cop zombie, just stay in the room until he busts down the door. He'll stumble towards you and fall over the desk. Then just run for the door. He won't grab you and later he won't be in the hallway to dodge. And he's not there when you come back through the Parking Garage for some reason. No shade to Darkness though, his guide is on _point_ man. Edit: Oh, also if you're nervous about boarding up the window while a zombie is flopping out of it, before you go to see Claire, just come back with a board. No zombini will be in the hallway or crawling though the window, and you get no heart attacks.
S ranked the game 2 years ago on PS4. Just re-bought it on PC and again I'm back on these guides for the S ranks, it really is the GOAT of RE2 guides for everymen.
This was such a great video to follow. I have never speed run anything in my life so I tried going for S once on standard because I was scared it would be too hard and then it was so easy so I went for S+ on hardcore and I got 1:55:01! He really does help you collect so many things that when you need to use something you can and you'll be ok if you mess up because you have a lot more than you think! 10/10 would recommend as an everyman guide. Can't wait to beat Claire!
Now whenever I mess up in life I always hear your voice in my head say "you'll be fine, it's okay to mess up, it's absolutely fine". Looking forward to your RE3 run!
Grrr i almost beat Birkin 2 but and the second crane swing i got hit by it too. I was so close! Amazing guide though i would have never made it this far without you. Edit: Fourth try and i finally beat him. Yes! Edit: OMG I got S+ thank you so much. I never could have done it without you!
I got hit by that crane 5 times, still on first playthrough. I also wasted ALL my ammo trying to kill him on the run to the crane because I'm dumb and playing blind.
Darkness you're an absolute legend. I appreciate your knowledge around this game so much. The amount of times I've watched these videos fully is insane. Thanks again.
great guide, you're right that the police station is the only really risky part of this game. I find that you can get the lab down to an exact science, apart from maybe if you're ill equipped for the plant zombies
@@yittmashups the sewers seems pretty hard and I think the reason for it is because the rpd is the longest part of the game, you spend your time memorizing it that seeing something new is pretty challenging. Honestly though I've played the sewers twice and I pretty much have it down. The lab is next for me
Honestly man - this is a great guide. I'm kind of noob at this game but I'm giving this a shot. I keep running low on ammo around crotch ammo lady in the RPD but I'm resetting until it feels right. The RNG gods were definitely on your side on this first part lol.
5 years later and still the best guide ever! Just got My S+ at 2:04 min. thank you darkness, watched many of hours of your re2r gameplay. Keep them steez in tack!
Wow, this makes me feel like I can do it myself! I used to watch the "world record speedruns" and try to copy them myself but as a casual gamer, I get stressed out and eventually frazzled every time I get tagged by enemies or forget something from the item box and then I just give up lmao. Thank you for this. I guess the trick is to have notes with you so you don't get stuck trying to figure out what to do next. Also, watching this, I found out that the S+ time limit has room for error should you make a few minor mistakes along the way. This might be the third time I unlock infinite ammo on a Resident Evil Game (first two were RE5 and 6 but unlocking infinite ammo there is easy) Keep up the good work!
Incredibly helpful! Just got S+ with 1:55:33 thanks to you! Love the casual laid back feel and the way you made mistakes to show that it's fine! That made getting S+ significantly less stressful and a lot more enjoyable! For anyone struggling with Ada's section (I died there and had to reload), I'd recommend getting the extra ammo and flashbang and playing more aggressively to kneecap the zombies. If you make a mistake with Mr. X, the flashbang will save your life!
Solid walk through, enabled me to get a time of 2:01:35 S+ rank on hardcore on my first hardcore run with the only hurdle really being the timing for the insta-kill by super tyrant which is a little tight, but having all the granades let me put him down pretty quickly, will definitely be using the other guides.
Tony Zuniga man, I’ve already died twice with ada. I think the thing to do is get a flash grenade that is nearby and use it... cause seriously, 3 zombies show up in the beginning of ada’s section. Fuck
Great video! The very start of this video where he talks about being a normal gamer and not a speed runner, this is so important and anyone who is watching this video should really take his words to heart and understand that YOU CAN DO THIS. For anyone following this guide and coming back after saves!

1:10:40 : Recommended 2nd save (should have around 1 hour and 15 minutes or less on timer)
1:26:00 : Probably 2nd save if didn't use the recommended one
1:56:27 : 3rd save (should have around 2 hours and 10 minutes or less on timer)
This is exactly what i was looking for ahahaha
Ayo seadog bro i got the first save in 26:01 should i give it another try?
@@jimmmy7680 you have cushion time to keep going if needed. I would only keep going though if it was a clean run without needing too much ammo or heals. If I took some damage or missed more than needed I would probably restart. You'll only get faster
I also got 26:00 I ignored it and I got an S+ it's fine just continue but if your worried that you won't get the S+ retry

Absolutely, as long as you dont use the maps
Great video Darkness, I appreciate it
FOR ANYONE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE WILLIAM BIRKIN KNIFE FIGHT
count the hits our boy does with the knife!!! 14 then grenade, 16 then flash, 11 then switch knives, then slash until he ded. I had so much trouble with this part and then tried this strat and did it first try. godspeed everyone!
Yeah that took me forever I ended up using the extra grenade in the corner.
Semper Fi!
if he grabs you and you use one of your knifes to break free, it's actually more efficient! it happened to me and killed him faster, I didn't even have to flash him
didnt work at all for me it takes like 30 extra knife hits after you switch the knife
Darkness: gets 4 one shot crits in a row
Me: 12 headshots per zombie
Jacob O'Connor Ur luckier than I need almost 20 shots, luckily I had infinite samurai edge lol
Jonathan Joestar did you still get the infinite rocket launcher or no.
@@PowahKordz im not 100% sure how exactly this works, but basically there is a score in game which determines the "difficulty". when you get hit, miss shots, die etc. that score goes down, so the game will be somewhat easier. but as soon as you start killing things, doing good stuff, that score goes up again. so yes, you can make it technically easier, but not for too long. also, in hardcore you start out initially with a higher score than the two easier modes, so there it isn't as useful
again, im not 100% about this, so if i made any mistakes please someone correct me

Just bruteforce the last letter.
@@RuberDildo And then there's someone like me who just brute forced all of those locks my first time through. 23:10 'Throw it earlier than you think' This simple sentence is soooo goddamn valuable!! I am amazing at this guide, well done my guy!!
Also, feel free to heal if needed.
omg, thank you!

That Titan Scrub same here! Instant sub from me
Dude your strategies saved me so many times.
Lol right, I was hoping he had a B run guide

Now that I don't feel as scared of RE2 anymore, I believe I'm ready to try your guide in hardcore. Wish me luck!

Thank you!

I was 25 minutes late and was down to the bone on my supplies
What happens if you destroy mr x before the game gives you the rocket launcher?
blow mr x

I hadn't played this game in like 4 months. I saw this guide, S+ rank achieved 3 days later. You my friend, are amazing! Subbed!
Bro I did it in less with 2 saves and didn’t get it
:(
@Taelin Cusic nice 👍
@@Joseph_stevenson1864 What time? The time is important.
@@LiberatedMind1 1:13
Now whenever I mess up in life I always hear your voice in my head say "you'll be fine, it's okay to mess up, it's absolutely fine". Looking forward to your RE3 run!
Grrr i almost beat Birkin 2 but and the second crane swing i got hit by it too. I was so close! Amazing guide though i would have never made it this far without you.
Edit: Fourth try and i finally beat him. Yes!
Edit: OMG I got S+ thank you so much. I never could have done it without you!
For some reason Birkin 2 is the worst for me.. I hate him 😂😂
@@kimini_tea4758 Me too. That's why I ignored the advice to save so early in the sewers lol
I got hit by that crane 5 times, still on first playthrough. I also wasted ALL my ammo trying to kill him on the run to the crane because I'm dumb and playing blind.
Oh wow I don’t remember ever commenting this xD.
Darkness you're an absolute legend. I appreciate your knowledge around this game so much. The amount of times I've watched these videos fully is insane. Thanks again.
The “G” for George is on the floor by the desk for the letter lock
Yes sir it is. And you save me time having to say it.
Yeah I noticed it initially when trying to solve it and woke up the zombie lol 🧟♂️
I just tried all the letters until it opened, i looked but couldn't find the letter lock.
great guide, you're right that the police station is the only really risky part of this game. I find that you can get the lab down to an exact science, apart from maybe if you're ill equipped for the plant zombies
Nice pun.
oh wow, it wasnt intentional XD
Ever played the sewers?
yeah and the sewers are easy
This might be the third time I unlock infinite ammo on a Resident Evil Game (first two were RE5 and 6 but unlocking infinite ammo there is easy)
Keep up the good work!
This has been the best guide if seen like lowkey ever. Shoutout to you homie
I did it!!!.. 2hr 16min. Having so much fun with Missle Launcher!!! Thanks man!!!
Appreciate the amazing guide! I died at the sewers and tyrant but finally did it in 02:01:31. Thank you Darkness! ❤🔥💯
"They spawned a new lady zombie for Ada..."
* zombie doesn't appear in the video *
* new zombie kills my run twice in a row *
Tony Zuniga man, I’ve already died twice with ada. I think the thing to do is get a flash grenade that is nearby and use it... cause seriously, 3 zombies show up in the beginning of ada’s section. Fuck
Bro just take out their legs
Brother after hacking switch go all the way back and use flash gernade there is a flash granade at the back
Just shoot legs
Zombie that has killed me twice :(
Just finished the Game on Hardcore with S+ ... amazing guide. Thank you so much! Love it.
Just got into RE2 three years after release and this guide along with the others are absolute clutch. Appreciate them bro ‼️
