The Denver fans and team were hyped up into an Orange Crush frenzy for the whole year. Was happy for Craig Morton that he had his mini- comeback at glory. But the balloon deflated in the Super Bowl against Craig's old pals the Dallas Cowboys. Still...it was nice to see somebody other than Pittsburgh or the Raiders at the top of the AFC.

This 1977-1978 A.F.C. championship season for Broncos marked their lst ever taste, llnd season football 🏈 play. And in that season's playoffs they knocked off pair, perennial A.F.C. powerhouses in Steelers/then, defending Super Bowl winners from season prior (1976-1977), Raiders, both at home to advance to Super Bowl, XIl where they'd lose to Cowboys, 27-10

Twice. In the 21-7 regular season game they allowed the Steelers over midfield only three times, only once in the second half!
