More people come to us to watch serious author's films than entertaining ones. The fears were unfounded, the audience was wildly delighted. I am happy with my choice.
Saw this in a theater...the opening, you could feel the electricity through the audience. An amazing opening, once the film started: We were HOOKED! I became a Russ Meyer fan for LIFE.
Tracy Vanity Varla is a GREAT name for a cat! I'll have to add that to my list of Names for My Future Kittehs. My first choice for a cat's name is Veronica Mars 😉
Love the soundtrack to this. The opening title track and "The Race / The Killing" jazz number that starts at about 2:31 If someone could upload the isolated track of this, it would be greatly appreciated.
HELL NO, not another dumb ass remake!!! Hollywood today is so disgusting. I'm sick of them remaking classics,and putting a modern twist 2 them. They REALLY need 2 come up with NEW,FRESH ideas and leave the original classics be. I've seen this a few times,and its perfect. Classics all the way Baby.

The mental image was that her high heels were rounded at the bottom so she could be easily tipped over onto her back, then after the customer had used her, easily rolled back upright again. By the late 20th century this term had become obsolete, archaic, and now it is generally forgotten except by a student of American slang....

why we call it: "low budget." Russ Meyer made his movies for almost nothing, often relying largely using his wife and a small crew of actors and production people who repeated in various films. For example, Haji and Stuart Lancaster (the crippled old man in this movie), in the sex comedy "Good Morning...and Goodbye!" made a couple of years later in glorious color film.
This movie is on the exact same level as Citizen Kane, but both those movies pale in comparison to the greatest movie ever made which is “KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park.”
@WETNWILD85 Quentin Tarantino's " Death Proof" was the only good remake that actually honored the movie without dissapointing fans with recasting and shit. I don't know about anything else, but Death Proof is the only one worth watching.

I introduced this to a class at the University of Warsaw. They loved it. It fit the class, and they eagerly deconstructed this classic. Sigh.
In my opinion, one of the best openings in any movie ever made.
