Part 2 of Fife Coast Trip. Plein Air Harbour Painting of Pittenweem

- We woke up after a very cold night to a beautiful sunny day. We then drove East to Pittenweem. After having a good look around we settled on a harbour scene.
I set up my easel with a 14" x 11" board to paint this very complicated scene of fishing boats in the harbour.
It was fun to chat to so many people, including the owner of the 'disappearing boat'

How/when do you decide which median to use?
At the moment I decide because of the weather. Cold and damp isn’t good for watercolour.
Next year we’ll be travelling to Europe and that will be completely watercolour because of storage.
So I decided mainly for practical reasons.
