Hi I had neck and iv contrast thorax ct with aquilion 64. Slice thickness for both of them were 0.5mm is it correct? image is 5mm I read on internet when slice thickness reduce radiation dose is increase. is it true? can you please enlightened me? I am a bit worried.

You don't worry the machine is of 64 slices or 128 slices, it only takes pictures of 5mm or 10mm, then later computer work to make it 0.5mm

@@ParveenTechnologist just one more thing if they make it 10 mm gor picture, slice thickness willl be 1mm or 0.5 mm?

@@nagehaninan5602 If the machine is less then 32 slice then 1 mm is used, if 64 is 128, then 0.5
