What bugs me the most, is when people try to make a point out of Mick not being as talented as Michael. Honestly, during the 70 seasons of F1, how many drivers have been as talented as Michael Schumacher? Maybe 10? They seem to come around about once every decade, with Hamilton and Verstappen being the two latest who have displayed that amount of sheer talent and determination.
Michael Schumacher was one of the best drivers in the history of F1. He is my favourite driver, and by relation I want Mick to succeed (alongside David, Ralfs son).
Mick is a good driver. He can do well on his own merits - if he keeps working to improve.

You are right about the pressure, but in recent years no driver was below 20 years when he entered F1, the trend of putting in new drivers which only are 18-20 seems to be over for now, now they all gain more experience
      Some examples:
      Leclerc entered at 21
      Russell at 21
      Albon at 23
      Latifi 24
      Next year (maybe):
      Schumacher is 22
      Shwartzman is 21
      Ilott is 22
So it's not that only Mick needs/gets more time before jumping into F1

No one in motorsport has more pressure to succeed than Mick. His name is synomous with utter domination and his father was a once in a generation level talent. His father is one of the dominant and fastest drivers in F1 history and has 7 titles to his name and with enough records to make Micheal Phelps say slow down. Entering the sport with that man as your father is unbelievably stressful. But from what I’ve seen its not just the name for Mick. He’s stayed amazingly consistent throughout the 2nd season of his F2 career and is now leading the championship. Can’t wait to see him in a proper F1 car.

Mick’s again showing how well he does in year 2 - and primarily the back half of that year. I think that goes to show 2 interesting things: 1. He’s clearly good enough for a place in F1, and has shown just as much talent as the likes of Norris, Albon et al 2. He’s actually very different from his Dad; Michael’s biggest skill seemed to be to go out and immediately find grip, instinctively understanding the limit and pushing to it quicker than others. Mick’s just a very different driver and, although I’d suggest that he doesn’t seem to be the once in a generation talent Michael was, he does seem more than worthy of a drive on pure merit.

Enormous pressure to live up to his dad's legacy, more than anyone in F2 and F1.
Enormous pressure to have witnessed his dad be a legend and then suffer a freak accident and be bedridden for years (7 years as of writing this comment). All in his teens when kids need their dads.
Money cannot buy talent nor the ability to be courageous in such tumultuous times he had to grow up in. Hopefully he gets his F1 seat soon and we see the Schumacher name on top of F1 again.

People like to leave out the fact that when born to an F1 superstar/legend, becoming a racing car driver (whether making all the way to f1 or not) is literally a life choice not a struggle. Similar situation for kids with parents loaded to the gills, that have an interest in racing (I.E Lance Stroll) or are not against it. I would guess majority of the very high-class would not like their children participating in such 'dangerous' activities such as karting. Making it so there is even less competition. Yes I do understand that almost all racers come from money nowadays, with very few exceptions (like Lewis), and even historically was a similar case. The extent to which it is happening is worse now then ever before though, and is blatantly obvious. If you mention anything about it people just jump on how they're actually not that bad, or how they're somehow actually amazing drivers. If that were the case then money would not be required. However Lawrence stroll paid a reported $80 million for Lance's 2017-2018 Williams seat, $117 million for force India / Racing Point seat for 2019-2020 seasons, then finally $239 million to secure the racing point/aston martin from 2021-forward. The only reports I can find online on this topic is one from 2018 with the headline 'Has Stroll really spent $200 million on Lance's F1 career'

@@bpastorb Of course, racing requires money, but the level in F2 and F1 is so high that you need some talent and skill to be competitive there. Lawrence Stroll is a massive motorsport enthusiast himself, so it goes well with Lance's racing career. It's a combination of many factors, but what racing fans don't like seeing is when an underperforming driver buys a seat which is ahead of where he should be on merit. Mick Schumacher is a disappointment in the sense that Ferrari Academy and other sponsors invested in him a lot and he's a slow burner so far, so too speak. F4, F3 and F2, only becoming a force in the 2nd seasons while racing with a mighty Prema organisation. He'll have an easy entry into F1, if paired against such an old dinosaur like Kimi.

He's in Ferrari's driver academy so one day he will get a shot in F1 because of his performance at the moment.
So what's all this speculation about?
Let's just wait until he has to take a stand against the "big boys" give him some time and we will see if he's championship material or just there because of his name.
And I personally think he is going to kick some ass in F1 in a few years.

At the end of the day, it's about money and risk management. F1 teams choose bad drivers over good drivers if it means they are more likely to have a positive financial outcome. It means that not all the best drivers are able to get a seat in F1. Norris, Sainz, Latifi, Magnussen, Stroll, Verstappen, Albon all had parents who were millionaires. It helps. I remember I saw a guy training for the olympics in bobsleigh. He did it by getting a shopping cart from the local store, putting stones in it and pushing it forward. No surprise, he didn't do very well.

2:12 No it was only to take pressure and attention off of himself.
2:42 It is a bad thing. In F1 you get a new car every year. True talents only need one year.
3:11 You can say that again! I wonder what clicked that made SHW & SCH so much quicker 🤔
3:33 Hehe, oh silly boy Dan. Bad boy! Don’t dare expose the secret to Schumacher success. Be happy with P2
3:36 Dan actually never questioned the legality of the car. Please get your facts right. I’m so sick of Dan being misrepresented.
3:44 I agree with you. He did have to be talented to beat Robert even though he was a rookie and Mick wasn’t. However he didn’t beat the other fair and square as he had an unfair advantage.
4:18 I agree that the average level of talent is the best ever but I think Norris & Russell from 2018 are better than all.
6:06 With the funds that Alfa will gain by replacing Mick with Kimi, having an inexperienced driver lineup is only a minor issue.
6:11 You’re right! Perez would be a good option because he brings money and experience. Hulkenburg is much less appealing.
7:00 In general yes, but technically no. I think that he isn’t as good as you’ve made him out to be if I’m honest. I would compare him to somebody like Guanyu Zhou who is good but just off of what it takes to be a solid F1 driver. Don’t get me wrong I respect Mick massively for all he’s overcome and the pressure he has to deal with daily. But let’s not kid ourselves and think that he is on the same level as the current F1 grid. Maybe Latifi.

With all due respect, just some input suggestions critique feedback advice. I know that English language came from the UK GBR, especially England and Scotland. But, not everyone understand British accent, let alone if you speak really fast like that. I actually able to understand Sky Sports F1 even tho they have British accent, because they speak slower. But, I had a hard time trying to understand what you said, that I had to replayed it a few times. Even so, I still couldn't get all of what you said, only a few. Besides speaking slower, it would be better if you provide captions. Because the auto-caps isn't that accurate. Thankyou very much🙏
