For clothes, consider a capsule wardrobe. Split between Spring/Summer, Fall/Winter, Casual, Work. With careful planning, a work wardrobe can be 20-25 pieces (or less) depending on M/F and this includes jewelry, shoes, and accessories. Casual can be less. If you chose mostly classic looks, you can add only when something needs replacing or 1-2 fad items bought on sale for an updated look.
I would suggest as you get used to the concept paring your capsule down to a smaller amount. Also consider putting the word out that you need something, my niece started her first job out of college at the World Bank in Washington DC. To start she didn’t have the clothes or money to buy clothes appropriate for the World Bank. My niece put the word out and a family friend who is her size was a trendy designer dresser. She gave my niece designer work clothes (normally they go to a charity shop) and my niece was set. To cut down on morning stress (she was not a morning person) she put together her clothes for the week on Sunday so each day she just had to slip on that days clothes.

The biggest "aha" moment that changed my life came when I began to change my thinking and behaviors. I was spending more money on "habits" than from logical purchases and did not catch on for decades. Every night of the week, I would buy a twelve pack of beer (and drink it) because my routine after work was to have a beer (or three) before having dinner and finishing the rest while web surfing, watching tv, or whatever the evening brought. I did not have a car so I didn't have to worry about fatalities of drunk driving. For the price of the alcohol ($10/day = $300/mo) I probably could have afforded a car. But it wasn't just that. I was smoking name brand cigarettes and taking 3-4 puffs and tossing the rest ($10/day = $300) and while at the gas station (hey, it was on my way home from work) I would drop another $5-20 on lottery tickets. They were addictions but we are talking about a combined $900/mo. worth of expenses without value for the money. Moral? We can uncover a lot when we think about our personal "daily costs" and ways to reduce them. We can change our lives when we change our thinking and behaviors... one tip, trick, treat, tweak, twerk or tool at a time. Great video... take what you need and leave the rest.

I like your tips. However, I drive because I work in multiple places and I have a limp, so walking everywhere isn’t practical for me.
