i remember when MAMA banned fandom lightsticks at one of its shows because many of the attendees were ARMYs and they made it look like it's a BTS concert instead of an award show and we still managed to sneak in those lightsticks to let the boys know that we are there for them. Also one thing i love about armys that our lightsticks can change colour so not just we supported BTS but also changed the colour of our lightsticks to the colour that the group performing is associated with so that they also feel loved and especially when we know that during BTS debut no one supported them and even used to turn their lightsticks off and show middle finger to them and everything. My tannies have come so far🥺
Definitely the worst camera work... they have improved over the years but here it was terrible 😢 There is another pre-recorded version of this song that looks much better... this choreography is worthy watching. The live voice is the same, only without an audience

BTS live is truly mind blowing. It's not just the songs, or the stage - it's the relationship between the members, how they interact with Army and how Army react back. Hobi is amazing, they all are, but Hobi is something else. He lights up like a beacon 💜

Oh are you in for a treat! BTS is known for many things, but spectacular live performances is definitely one of the top. And what is great is that you will find many different types of live performances. All out, vulnerable, fun, pure vibes, sharp choreography, vocal focused, dance focused, loose and goofy. And the great part is that the type of performance matches the theme of the songs or type of context it is shown in. There’s almost always another layer. Like performing this right after Fake Love where they are like dolls on string, taking off the mask in this middle video and then going into Anpanman that as you know symbolizes how they are not strong like Superman, but their superpower is to make music that feeds our hearts. More like an every day superhero, but the one who makes a difference in society. Here they were dressed up in astronaut themed clothes, and they’ve also performed this in workclothes of men who take care of garbage. So here they are much more relaxed, goofing around while delivering an incredible performance as their true selves (unmasked).

For a very vocally impressive live performance id recommend reacting to Film Out! However, since you never heard of MAMA before this I’m assuming you’ve also never heard of their ICONIC MMA (another award show) 2019 set. It really gives you the FULL BTS experience!!!
The best thing about this terrific performance is that an even better live performance led into it - Fake Love. They sang two very different songs that day, back-to-back, which is not uncommon at MAMA (or other Asian awards shows).

Hobipalooza (J Hope´s performance at Lollapalooza) is till this day one of the best concerts i´ve ever seen (and I am a 51yo who has been to many concerts). Then D Day was extraordinary, then each and every one of them have done fantastic performances in this solo era.

I remember that year's MAMA really well, because it was held in three different countries on three different nights, so actually watching the entire thing was LONG & required getting up at a ridiculous time in the very early morning due to time zone differences. This was the Japan night, which makes it even more significant that the crowd is clearly all in for BTS., given that it's not their home turf. This was also their final song of a multi-song performance spectacle which also had some noticeable technical errors on the part of the production staff. "Anpanman." was the centrepiece of the * goof around & have fun * section of their concerts during this era + Anpanman (the character), is Japanese & the song was a big hit in Japan. I can only imagine that the members made a conscious decision to end their performance with this song to: 1. Recreate the vibe of a BTS concert experience for MAMA viewers. 2. Release a lot of anxiety, stress & BS by letting go & having fun.
I have seen almost all the superstars live performances but MJ BTS are really something else ...but for me is really a competition between MJ and JHope
Each one of these guys is superstar in their own right, It just so happens they are all in one group. When you get farther into their catalog and start watching the solos, you will begin to see why BTS is so special. There are no "background" singers, they all take their turns and combined they are incredible. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

"I wish the camera would zoom out so I could see the choreography." That's why we watch dance practices. We watch fancams and the different lives like this to see the energy and stage presence. We watch MVs for the creativity and production quality. I had never seen this preformance and was also frustrated by the camera crew but in fairness they were trying to catch all of that for the world in 8 minutes. It's an impossibility.
Other great live performances are Not Today, Dionysus, Fake Love, Idol, Outro Wings and Tear. So many to choose from. I have seen them live. PTD in LA in 2021 and Suga in New York last year. I have been to many concerts and they are the best! 💜

I can't wait for you to see some performances with better camerawork - this one cut to the audience very often and missed some of the best moves in choreo so it stole a little from experience. Just so you know - award show performaces are a little more fancy compared to concerts - for example the video you seen at the beginning, some additional dance breaks etc. Also, we often got clues about new albums hidden here and there in those moments - it was so much fun to analyze and brainstorm with other ARMY for days after award shows! When it comes to choreo, I think you would love "RUN BTS" from concert in Busan. Also, is there a chance for you to watch full concert? It often has VCR videos to make whole concert into a story with strong narrative. I think you would enjoy it, especially from Love Yourself and Speak Yourself tours :)
I am going to recommend you watch the Dance Practice & then the live performance or vice-versa. These people at these shows are atrocious when it comes to camera work. All of the intricacies of the Choreo gets lost. And BTS Choreo is very eloquent! Even if it is a longer video, it will be worth it! 💜👑💜 Happy Jimin Day!
This is one of my fave songs to see them perform live. It's always so fun and exciting to watch. It's a shame that the camera crew kept cutting away so you couldn't see many parts properly. I suppose it's a thing where they want to show the size of their crowds and how impressive their award show attendance was as well as audience participation. It's just annoying that the viewer misses out on a lot when those shots could be reduced. The performances of Anpanman at their concerts and at music shows definitely show much more of their choreo and the group. Although some of the performances are more about them working the crowd and having fun together which is also really great. Like when they spend half of the time singing and playing on a massive bouncy house lol.

If the weather is nice and you're stuck in traffic, blast this song with the windows down. It such a mood booster for a bad mood. The Asian award shows are notorious for bad camerawork. For the lightsticks, a lot are BTS ARMY bombs, but there's also a lot of multi stans that can bring a different artist's lightstick and just keep it lit for any artist you like. Lightsticks are expensive (about $50-$70) so multistans make due with what they have. They just can't connect a non-BTS lightstick to the Bluetooth that will be available at their actual concerts. Artists use the lightsticks to spell out words or make patterns during the concert since your lightstick is registered and your seats are assigned, they can synch everything up. Lastly, ARMY that go to their concerts always say the stage is where JHope REALLY shines.💜

My absolute favourite BTS award show performance is from MMA 2018. It's 20 min, but doesn't feel like it. It was so pivotal that Jimin even won a cultural award for his part. If there is one person that can hold a stage it's him! He's a dancer before he's a rapper, let's not forget ;) Jungkook is the one with the big white coat. He was singing at the center of that piece of choreo you liked.
The only issue with awards shows is that often the camera work is either too far, too close or on the audience. So a followup with a dance practice for these ones is a good idea💜

You should check out "ON" Kinetic Manifesto or "Not Today".... also, a great many of their performances have dance practices (which are almost like stage performances!!).. to me, it seems their parts are all evenly dispersed thru the performances - unless it's just the vocal line, or just the rap line...but trust, they all can do it all!!! I can't wait for you to see some performances with better camerawork - this one cut to the audience very often and missed some of the best moves in choreo so it stole a little from experience. Just so you know - award show performaces are a little more fancy compared to concerts - for example the video you seen at the beginning, some additional dance breaks etc. Also, we often got clues about new albums hidden here and there in those moments - it was so much fun to analyze and brainstorm with other ARMY for days after award shows! When it comes to choreo, I think you would love "RUN BTS" from concert in Busan. Also, is there a chance for you to watch full concert? It often has VCR videos to make whole concert into a story with strong narrative. I think you would enjoy it, especially from Love Yourself and Speak Yourself tours :)

I am going to recommend you watch the Dance Practice & then the live performance or vice-versa. These people at these shows are atrocious when it comes to camera work. All of the intricacies of the Choreo gets lost. And BTS Choreo is very eloquent!

This is one of my fave songs to see them perform live. It's always so fun and exciting to watch. It's a shame that the camera crew kept cutting away so you couldn't see many parts properly. I suppose it's a thing where they want to show the size of their crowds and how impressive their award show attendance was as well as audience participation. It's just annoying that the viewer misses out on a lot when those shots could be reduced. The performances of Anpanman at their concerts and at music shows definitely show much more of their choreo and the group. Although some of the performances are more about them working the crowd and having fun together which is also really great. Like when they spend half of the time singing and playing on a massive bouncy house lol.

Live performance of Apan Man is life changing?!? Imagine attending their full live concert!!!! 😭💜🎶 My last BTS concert was back in May 2019 before pandemic hit us. I had 4 tickets to see them again the following 2020 at the same venue (Metlife stadium) but pandemic messed it up. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Haven't seen them live since...not even Suga's solo concert and besides Jin, they're all serving their mandatory military service. Giving from themselves what Armys and those downtrodden need to hear from their lyrics and music the hope they need to help them overcome their struggles!!!! The Asian award shows are notorious for bad camerawork.
For the lightsticks, a lot are BTS ARMY bombs, but there's also a lot of multi stans that can bring a different artist's lightstick and just keep it lit for any artist you like. Lightsticks are expensive (about $50-$70) so multistans make due with what they have. They just can't connect a non-BTS lightstick to the Bluetooth that will be available at their actual concerts. Artists use the lightsticks to spell out words or make patterns during the concert since your lightstick is registered and your seats are assigned, they can synch everything up.
Lastly, ARMY that go to their concerts always say the stage is where JHope REALLY shines.💜

My absolute favourite BTS award show performance is from MMA 2018. It's 20 min, but doesn't feel like it. It was so pivotal that Jimin even won a cultural award for his part.
