Backstory: Its about a girl who knows about this crush a clingy boy has on her, and the boy has given her gifts,comfort, and is her only friend, but she just doesnt like him the way he does. She wants to tell him that shes not the one and that he should move on but his feelings keep on getting stronger and she realizes that hes fallen in love with her. And near the ending of the song is a mixture of both, the boys POV is "Baby, what can i do? Baby come through." Which i think is meaning that he thinks the girl has feelings for him as well and shes playing hard to get, but hes wrong. Though the girls POV is "Baby, I think its you, never was me." Which is her saying that he needs to move on and she isnt the right person for him to be with. In conclusion, shes so afraid to tell him because if she does, *It will break his heart*

You could interpret it to represent the song. This song is about a "nice guy", (or nice guys in general), getting led on or left by a girl, when it could have been easy for the girl to just simply say she's not interested. A lot of girls in this situation feel really pressured, obviously they don't want to lose friends or create awkward scenarios with people they care about. Darkness can set in. You feel obligated to tell them that you don't love them, but you worry that you'll ruin things between you, at the same time it feels like you're lying to someone you care about just to keep a dream alive. You feel like you're "drowning", flooded with calls and texts, messages that you know should have been stopped long ago, but that you still somehow enjoy too much to end. There's no real choice but to let it continue, as if you told the truth, then you'd be lonely. "But now he's gone and she's alone again." It's a strange feeling. You want to be loved, but you can't feel it back towards THAT exact person. You know that if you told the truth, you'd be alone, and that all of these sweet things that are done to you are fake, an illusion that only you can see. You don't want pain, for anyone. But there's no way to win. You are in slowing letting that water in, until you will eventually "drown", and be left in the dark. You two will drift apart. The only remnants of what you had will circle your lifeless memories, like colorful fish and a flowing dress around an abandoned carcass. It could have been stopped. You saw the water rising. But the allure was too strong.

@Boring content an update since someone liked this and reminded me; the girl rarely ever talks to me. She's all I have (friends are fake asf) and it's really eating me up inside that she won't even simply text me once daily. I don't think a single text per day is asking too much. Even, a single text every other day? Sadly, these are things I can't even get with this girl, although she claims to like me. She was alone on her birthday so I offered to spend time with her. We couldn't think of anything to do so we moved it to the next weekend and she ghosted me for the whole weekend instead of working with me to come up with something, as if I was the one we were doing it for. As of right now, it has been 17 hours since the last text from her. I'm honestly getting sick of being there for her only to be taken for granted and I'm probably about to just drop her tbh.

Not your stereotypical love letter, but a thank you note for homework help. She thanks him most dearingly, and his heart lifts at the sound of her voice. He thanks her, and wonders what happened. She soon walks home on a rainy day, and sees him at her bus stop. She hopes that they can be best friends. With a smile, Harold accepts. They walk to school together everyday, chatting, about life, sports groups, and other fun activities. Soon, she reveals that she lives writing, more than anything else in her life. So, Harold gets to work. On a clear sunny afternoon, he sets up with his friend’s help, to launch tens or hundreds or paper airplanes so he can see her smile. They approach the point, and the paper airplanes release, all flying through the sky. She watches them in awe, hoping she can catch one of them, until she sees one red paper airplane in the mix. She opens it up, and it’s says, “ Thank you for all the times we have been together. Sadly, I have to go to a different continent. The last thing I wanted to say to you is that I love you dearly, out of the bottom of me heart, from the 1st time we met, until now.” By the time she turns around, Harold is gone. Tiara has been searching all of her life, for Harold again. Harold however, was at peace. On the way to the new continent his boat sank, into the depths of the sea, and him not knowing how to swim, died a unconscious death. However, the thing that kept him moving towards his dreams were her, awkward Tiara, now kind of clumsy, walked out into a new pathway of her life, inflicted from Harold. She perseveres her dream of becoming an author, and soon had the same death as Harold, painless, drowning at sea. They are now reunited forever.

This hurts me too much, I’m a lot like harold. No, literally, my parents are immigrants and decided to move back to their home country and I have to say goodbye to who im pretty sure is the love of my life, genuinely. He’s so nice and funny and he helps me with my math homework in late night calls, we have a Minecraft world together and we hang out together all the time the thing is is that we’re childhood best friends so I don’t think he sees me that way, rather more than just a really good friend, and we’re both the same race so I don’t have to worry abt getting fetishized and just he’s so awesome in general I just ugh I wish I could tell him but I know I’ll never see him again, once we move, it’s done. I’ll never be in this town again, or walk these roads together with him. Anyways I needed to rant sorry for doing it here :)

3 days ago, on Valentine's day, I decided to send a message to a guy I like and really care about. I was afraid that he would think it was weird coming from me since I have only talked to him a little bit and we haven't seen each other in months, so I made an anonymous account and sent it to him from there. I waited, probably for at least 3 or so hours, when I began to cry because I thought that I'd never be able to find someone who loves me back. But right when I started to cry and think those thoughts, I got a notification on my phone from him, that he replied back. I stopped crying and was instead filled with excitement, but worry at the same time. I didn't know what he would say, or if he'd say something like "Okay cool, but I have a gf." I think I had to wait like 30 minutes until I could gather up the courage to open the notification and read the text. To help calm me down while reading it, I decided to listen to this song while reading it. I eventually opened it, and I when I read it wouldn't have imagined a better way for him to reply back. I won't specifically say what he said since it was kind of long, but what he said back to me was just enough to make me start crying, but instead out of happiness. Finally, I had someone who actually seemed to care about me. From now on, whenever I listen to this song, I will remember that moment. I'm glad I have this song to remember it, because it's something I never want to forget. And eventually, I'm going to reveal to him that it was me who sent the message. I'm not sure when exactly, but some day.

This reminds me of how this past 4 days have been depressing for me and how I've changed from happy to sad because of a heart break and i feel like everyone of my friends have turned me down expect for one but i feel like he'll turn me down too but on the bright side this version of this song is peaceful and so amazing to listen to because i think of the people i love and it makes me go in tears of joy because i know i at least i have people who are here for me. Jay, the boy; tried asking me out a few times, but we eventually agreed we wanted to be just friends. Eventually, Cody invited me out one day and asked me if I would be her girlfriend. I said yes, and I just hugged and kissed her. However, when Cody and I went to school the next day together, we decided that we’d tell Jay during home room. We both thought he would be happy, because he and I agreed on staying friends, but he didn’t react well. He didn’t expect it, and got angry at me in front of the rest of the class and Cody. He was yelling, and I was already crying when Cody yelled at him, held me close, and walked out into the hallway to help calm me down. She apologized to me that Jay got angry, and I just held her hand on my cheek. We sat there for a while, Cody hugging me and holding me close. We both snuck out of school with our things and an umbrella, and walked to her house. We talked about it, and watched anime after ordering pizza. She helped me realize it wasn’t my fault, and comforted me so much. I love her.
