100 years old and they still make it the same way! Interesting trivia!

Glad you liked the trivia. I feel like it should make it's way into more of my videos. Thoughts?

I was a little nervous when I bought the colors, but I was excited about how this piece turned out.

Nice restore - never saw a tool like this but all vintage tools are really well made and made to last - great job bringing it back to life and saving it! I recently saved 112 years old blow torch - really satisfying! I enjoyed and subscribed sir!

Another great restoration. I like the before and after of each project. In this particular restoration, I like that it was a necessity found during another restoration. Lastly, as a history nerd I really appreciate the back story that you research and provide for the pieces that you restore.

Most of the pieces I restore are older, so I'll try to work in more history!

I'll never understand this need to speed up vids like that. It's stressful, not helpful. Plus, you have to rush your explanations to keep up. It's the opposite of ASMR. One minute in and I already can't stand it and I know I won't last the full 8 minutes. Too bad.

I went back to check the audio because I certainly didn't feel rushed recording it. I see what you mean - it sounded like I came in too hot. The audio settled down after a minute, but I need to be mindful for the next video. Thank you for taking the time to help with this.

Thanks for taking pity on me... ;)
Rushed narration is alas quite common on YT. The problem is that it doesn't leave viewers time to process the info given. At least there was no background music - a relief!
You'll notice that good storytellers never rush theirs; quite the contrary in fact. That's how you keep people on the edge of their seat and make them want more.
I suggest you take a look at a channel named "My Mechanics" if you don't know it already... no narration, no music, good editing with just a short written explanation here and there, but a joy to watch because you get the time to appreciate the work.
