I heard the reason why had to do with Nintendo's policy of publishers not being able to port the same game on other platforms. So they had to make a different game for Genesis. Thankfully that garbage was dissolved later
@@Zenotron That game had some cool exclusive tracks and levels but it needed more polish. At least it wasn't a let down like Sunset Riders as much as I liked that game it felt like Konami rushed that one out.

Um, you do know there’s the Hyperstone Heist version, which is already a Sega Genesis version, and then there’s the original arcade version of Turtles in Time, which used the OPM sound chip for FM. Why not use the FM instruments from those?🧐
