I feel like Tactical shotgun is way better than the double barrel. In my opinion, Tactical shotgun is more accurate, has more range, Faster firerate (?) and can protect you from Stan without wasting bullets on him. I tested the Tactical shotgun in the shooting place and it has potential to deal more than 100 damage at 100 studs. This does not mean Double barrel is bad. It is nowhere near to bad. It boils down to if you can oneshot the target or not. Which Double barrel will most likely succeed. Double barrel is a situational weapon. For example: it is the best at ambushing players, taking out targets with a lot of health. I like Tactical more for it's versatility, more ammo capacity and the flashlight feature it has. Double barrel just gets outclassed by other guns in almost all aspects but it is not a bad weapon.
i recommend to anyone using the db to pre aim before the enemy pass the corner, this way he has less time to react and you have more chances of success

DB doesn't even guarantee one hit kill at 40-50 studies without armor and may even run out of ammo before breaking armor/extra hp.Most of the time your target can just walk out of the range and there not much you can without speed boosters. Therefore it way easy to attack people with db even with 4-5 sec aim time weapons. Knockback will be easy to create distance. It output by close range weapons even more. In general there not many weapons slower than 0.5/1 sec. Aside very bad matchups as Gatling/LMG/Grenade Launcher/Snipers/Energy and Alien weapons at close range. You can be even interrupted by Grounders or Grenade (probably even more underrated due rarity and friendly fire)
@@meme-gn6yn i do agree that normal db wouldn't do much and showing danger will get you killed and even if you get someone distracted and shoot them, they might even survive it. However the db becomes op if you have spare strange drinks or strange root which allows you to outrun your target. Also the range of db is much less but even then, it might hit most of the shots. The ammo is indeed a problem but that's why ammunition crates exist, you're not gonna complain about scoped rifle only having 1 shot? In conclusion, db is op if you can outrun your target or you hiding in lighthouse and not letting anyone climb to you but that can be even more powerful if you start using art B, drinks, and any speed items

We can also see how the Double barrel is supposed to be used. If we take a look at every other weapon, It has more range, sometimes a faster firerate and sometimes better movement speed! For example: One of the famous weapon in isle, Battle Rifle! Amazing damage per second, movement speed and overall not bad range.. Now lets take a look at the Double barrel.. It has terrible range, Not the best aim time and no movement speed at all.. But if we take a look at it's damage.. 200! The Double barrel contains one of the most powerfull shotshells. Better firepower then the Scoped rifle. And if u upgrade it, Have the artifact B (combat) and even the strange drink.. You can be master of ambushing.. My Honest opinion is, The double barrel can get overshadowed from most weapon but, If you use it correctly, the correct situation and the correct location it can be a powerfull weapon.. Oh and The bolt action still sucks btw
You have to camp people to go near you for a fighting chance against most weapons, even with good setup. Most weapons give you better results with less efforts.
@meme-gn6yn I would say that, Yes the double barrel isn't the best compared to every other weapons. This includes the Battle Rifle, Combat Shotgun, LMG. It's more like a last-resort option. But unlike most weapons, its one of the powerful or maybe best ambushing weapons. Yes combat shotgun is indeed better, But if your going againts a person with a vest and a drone, Then a combat shotgun will fail (due to not enough damage + drone) On other hand, the upgraded double barrel + strange drink absolutely demolished the target (as seen in the video).
Not really If you have strange drink and some other speed boost items then you can pretty easily get yourself 1-2 kills and then steal their weapons to finish off more people I mean unless they have combat shotgun ofc
Too bad double barrel has an awful recovery speed and idle shooting animation; it’s probably one of my favorite situational guns to use besides those stats.
