Imagine thinking serving your country by taking person responsibility for its protection should be rewarded the same as those that stand behind them reaping the benefits of their sacrifice. Want to forgive student loans , fine, then every veteran gets land, like Ancient Rome. Not an interest free loan, just deeded property. There is a reward for serving. Not just for existing

If the system leaves you few other options it is forced also almost all highschools in the US push college on highschoolers so many think there is no other avenue. And take into account that we’re the only first world nation that does this and I can say clearly you’re wrong

The best argument against subsidizing college education is that if the college education does what it’s supposed to do the recipient shouldn’t need to be subsidized!!! He or she should be able to use what he or she learned in college and get a job that pays off the investment. Otherwise college isn’t a good choice for that person.

So the person in the video (and many others) did the responsible thing and risked life and limb to avoid student debt. Others did the responsible thing by skipping college because they couldn't afford it. While many others just signed the student loans without understanding what they were doing. Now imagine we let the irresponsible group off the hook, partially with taxes from the responsible kids.

Imagine cancelling a debt and essentially making those who earn less money - and have the potential to earn less money due to their jobs - have to foot the bill for those who, by going to college, do and can earn more. Only the greedy think this is fair.

Just stop the predatory interest rates. Make them reasonable to pay back. People can honor their agreement to the loan. No one else has to pay for someone's gender studies degree and the loan giver gets more than they put in. Everyone wins.

Thing is. A college education isnt necessary. Some of the most successful people i know barely finished school.
I would (if i were america) make specific courses free. I.e healthcare and such.
Courses that lead into high paying jobs would charge more.
But making all further eduction free is a huge exspense for very little gain
