OK - so I've watched every dash cam crash compilation that this channel has to offer - in fact I usually watch them the moment they are published. This one has to be the most concentrated with sheer driver stupidity. The previous ones I've seen had a reasonably even smattering of accidents due to inclement weather, obstacles such as animals or rogue pedestrians, or mechanical failures such as tyre blowouts. The majority of the ones in this video - and there were a LOT of really brutal ones - happened in mostly dry conditions, and were either due to drivers on phones, running red lights, overtaking turning trucks, or simply just not watching where they're driving. It really speaks volumes as to why laws against this kind of driving are put in place, and judging by the sheer brutality of these crashes, a lot more needs to be done to prevent it.
Agreed! Also I reckon everyone needs to take mandatory driver awareness & defensive driving courses before they're allowed to even go near a car! It's too easy to get a licence with no real skills taught except just experience
You can't outlaw being born stupid nor can you outlaw people just getting old. Until government actually start denying people for be incapable of driving the the first place, revoking licenses when a person is clearly not physically able to anymore, or actually forcing people to learn how to drive the world is going to be full of shitty drivers. The only actions governments are willing to take are worthless speeding enforcement because it super easy effort free financial income.

I remember when Sydney was going through a drought, lots of PBW closed down for lack of business, some were caught spilling oil on the roads, fine + gaol time, then after 4 -5 months, the Heavens opened up and they were busy little beavers, the only way to teach drivers how to drive is the Army School of Transport but with the sheer numbers will never happen
@@carlmagrath6389 a defensive driver's course is sufficient. My Mum was a psycho but surprisingly an excellent driver. I later found that this was due to a defensive driver's course. I've been reliably informed by multiple sources that she used to position herself in the centre of the lane (as opposed to her car), and more than once she would remain stopped at a stop sign... waiting for it to turn green. The fact that by the time I came around, that she had done a defensive driver's course, I couldn't understand why driving was the one thing she could handle in life quite professionally: I was told that it hadn't always been that way. If a defensive driver's course could teach my Mum to drive well, they can teach anyone to drive well.
Tailgating, keeping a 3 second distance from the car in front, driving right next to trucks, running reds, driving on the other side of the road, not leaving enough time when merging, purposely not evading traffic when you make a mistake, using your phone, not looking twice. It’s the basic skills people are missing, I don’t trust others on the road I’ll be honest, but I look out for my own safety and make sure I’m never in a dangerous situation, other drivers cannot be trusted.
I agree with most of this, but sometimes you have no choice but to drive next to trucks. I know why they sometimes have to merge so close to the car in front (nobody gives them room to merge), but honestly, it’s a rookie mistake to PIT manoeuvre a car by merging.
Another month and another incredibly high number of "professional" drivers at fault. I particularly enjoyed seeing the multiple taxi drivers who apparently can't see stationary cars directly in front of them. That's some special dedication required there.

the only reason driving deaths are going down is car engineering. people seem hell bent on killing themselves and everyone around them on the roads despite the government and engineers best efforts! crazy
That poor mother. Nothing she could do 😔
@@AshPragasam got lucky too. That glancing blow off the ute first would have lessened the impact a bit. Still looks like it hurt though.
Totally disagree, you trying to put the panel-beating ppl out of business?
I want to sell my car after watching this compilation. Madness
The standard on our roads is dropping something savage
I agree with most of this, but sometimes you have no choice but to drive next to trucks. I know why they sometimes have to merge so close to the car in front (nobody gives them room to merge), but honestly, it’s a rookie mistake to PIT manoeuvre a car by merging.
Sorry, but people never did half that stuff.
It's only the advent of dashcams that allows us to see all these incidents.
Funny thing about this is every time I assure you that some tool thinks you’re saving a spot just for them😔
7:05 I always find it hilarious how people manage to flip their car while doing such low speeds and have such mundane crashes
Another month and another incredibly high number of "professional" drivers at fault. I particularly enjoyed seeing the multiple taxi drivers who apparently can't see stationary cars directly in front of them. That's some special dedication required there.
For most taxi drivers it's their first job after entering the country yet they've got the audacity to call themselves "professional"... Someone must've told them about WorkCover at the immigration office.
That idiot truckie at 5:35 is another example. Having your trailer straddle the inside lane when tuning left is one thing. This guy just had zero lane control. Total show of sheer stupidity.
@@coover65 Learn the road rules, Do Not Overtake Turning Vehicle, Do you know what it means. The cars insurance would have to foot the bill.
@@michealsaunders3550 I've seen hundreds of semis making a left hand turn from the right lane. Never have I seen such sloppy lane control as shown by this steering wheel attendant. If he/she had half a brain they'd indicate, keep their prime mover in their own lane, check that there were no vehicles to their left then allow the trailer to cut the lane. At least that what they used to teach those going for their HC.
When I got my taxi licence years ago, the only practical exam I had was going a-b solo within a given time frame. Since then I've always been wary of taxis.
I'm not saying all the drivers are bad, but I really think there should be more scrutiny on the skills portion of taxi licencing.
