I really enjoyed this video and also just really happy to see your content again 🥹🫶🏽 I’ve been loooooving growing anthurium from seed 🥰 literally brings me so much joy and pride in growing them from nothing to something lol. What I really love about growing anthurium from seed is just being able to acclimate them early on to YOUR environment/conditions. I have all of mine growing around 70% humidity and I can’t wait to grow them outside of the greenhouse as well in 60-70% humidity ☺️

Aw, thanks so much friend!!!🥲💕 Growing plants from seed is super fun!😆 You're totally right about being able to acclimate them to your environment. I wanted to emphasize that I like my anthuriums in higher humidity (80% and above), but it's not a must. I haven't tried to grow a seed in my ambient humidity yet, but I definitely want to try!❤️

Just getting into anthurium seedlings and I’m wondering about using a heatmat set to like 75? My ac is pretty cool in my house and that’s the way I like it so would using a controlled heat mat help? 😊

I have mine set to 77F, has helped tremendously!

Hey Victoria!😊 I haven't used a heat mat in so long and I've never used it for Anthurium seedlings since the lights I use emits heat for my anthuriums and my greenhouse keeps everything humid and warm. I know it works for people I would just be mindful of any potential electricity issues and of course keeping your seedlings well watered. They're definitely going to dry out faster😅. Good luck and please keep me updated!

I know this video is a year old, but maybe someone will see it and have an answer...am I understanding correctly about upsizing Anthurium requires up potting the plants. To explain more, ya know with other aroids, you don't up size the pot till the plant is ready, and you don't go too big, but with anthuriums, do you go a little bigger, and sooner? I swear I heard this on another channel but I cannot find that video now. Is this right?

Hi Lindsey! Now, in my experience, I do upside an anthurium into pots that are a few sizes larger because the roots are so thick that they fill out a pot that's 1 size larger really fast. It's not required, but it really saves on you having to repot your Anthurium a few weeks later. Hope this helps!🥰

On the channel growplants, they also say to give bigger pots to upside your anthuriums. The video was focusing on growing large queen anthuriums indoors. I hope this helps.

I started doing this upsizing on my Anthuriums and they’re doing fine. I did it because it’s suppose to give you bigger leaves. My first Queen is coming out I’ll be sure to do a video on my thoughts about it.
