No doubt a beauty and a beast. Okuma has come a long way with their tackle . I'm a trophy Striper hunter and fish Tennessee Rivers, lakes and under dams and have some serious tackle. If they made this in a 5 - 6000 size, I might try one. The 10,000 is just a bit too much. A little bit too big and heavy. For now I'll keep my Daiwa Saltiga Dogfight with 66 pounds of drag. Unbeatable so far

have you been fishing it, how is it holding up ? is it as waterproof as a Van Staal (VSX) ? Also how does the physical size compare to a Shimano Stella SW 14k (2019)
As much as I love your videos, agree with your opinions on gear and approach to your fishing adventures, I've never seen a video of yours, Ever, when you've caught a big enough fish to justify using the Salina or Makaira 8000 or 10000 reel. Which isn't a dig. I'm hoping to actually see some fishing with these awesome Okuma products that you're now sponsored by. Get out offshore. Catch some big fish. Put these reels to an actual test. That's what us real fishing guys want to see. We love watching you & your great personality actually catching fish. The gear unboxing only goes so far.
That is why it's best to follow me on other socials. Unfortunately, video is not always a top priority when fishing. We catch large fish all the time. It may not be recorded, but it happens quite frequently.
🌴 I’m definitely an Okuma fan , they make a quality product at a reasonable price , they can go shoulder to shoulder with top brand names , Gator Jim’s has an assortment of Okuma reels ( except fly reels ! Boys we need to talk !) that reel is a work of art and will probably out last you ,as long as chris don’t get hold of it , how about a vid using it on some poons 👍🏼😉
This is a nice spinning reel but too pricey for me I'm a budget person I rather get 3 PENN Pursuit III Spinning Fishing Reel for $215 dollars why cheeper then that spinning reel
I can appreciate that, but these reels mentioned are in a way different class. For example, if you surf fish and dunk your reel this is the baby you want. Unfortunately, a Pursuit wouldn't last a day after being immersed in salt. I have much more affordable reels but I had to show the top dog too. 👍

Love my 20k! The preset settings and knob is really nice. You never have to question where you're at with the drag.
