Was there a particular off the shelf boot you used for the base? I have a WTF kit for my son I'm working on, but need a decent boot to attach the holster to. Also wondering what you're using for gloves. Thanks!

Yes. There are white plastic rain boots at walmart that I used as off the shelf. Pretty comfortable too for the kids.
