It's crazy how low-key and chill Season 1 was - no established theme song, flashy camera work, or even background music except at key moments. It just kind of drops you in without much fanfare, haha. Gives some nice 'humble origins' vibes.
The order is weird but I think the ones with this theme song are the pilots. Everything else was when the show was green lit. I stand to be corrected on that.
First season Mythbusters is a touch surreal. It feels so "by the seat of their pants" and they felt they lacked credibility so there are all these experts chiming in for context when it isn't necessary.
PCP flagged up in my last drug test, they laughed and sent it off to the lab to find out what was really going on because I obviously wasnt taking that stuff and driving plant machinery all day.
You’ll notice that all the “newbies” are scattered throughout the first few years of the seasons. Kari, Grant and Tory all worked on set for years before they became official MB hosts
This show was my childhood. Of course we always watched it with the german dub, so I am thrilled that this YT channel is uploading it again. It's like I get to watch it again for the first time. Thank you!
Imagine being one of the people who refused to talk to Mythbusters, and seeing how insanely popular they became years later. They've got to be kicking themselves in regret right now.
The early episodes really lacked energy, whether it's the theme music, or the overall edit I still appreciate the fact that they had more footage for each episode, and that they release an average additional 10 minutes for each episode, sometimes more
What's interesting about that? That one kind of lateral flow test looks like another kind of lateral flow test? This might blow your mind but they also look like pregnancy tests 🤯
@@tomaseu What's with the attitude? I just never thought a drug test and a virus test would use the same tech as they're testing for different things. I also didn't know the name. No need to take a shot because someone didn't know something you did.
Mislabeled again. This is the third pilot episode, filmed and aired before the first season was greenlit by Discovery. *NOT* episode 16. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_MythBusters_episodes
who cares. The numbering of the Mythbusters has and will always be problematic, because the seasons were not always well defined As long as they have the correct names of the myths in the title, that's ok for me.
I get where you're coming from, but does it matter? I just love that this channel is the real Mythbusters team (not some fan uploading copies of Eps). They finally have their own official space (which isn't regulated or controlled by any media corporations) and are making all Eps available for the world to view and play whenever we want. Either way, I am happy to be here and relive the nostalgia.

Your totally right and I agree which is why the all the experts and the folklorist disappeared in later seasons

Is that Kari at 13:35?
22:20. Look familiar? We never knew back then...
Did you miss the upload a few days ago with Kari and her 3D modelled posterior… for science!

Is the Hawkeye bow really functional?
Why hide the logo on the beers, we all know it was Millar Light?

Interesting that the drug test units look the same as the COVID self-tests. I guess it's no surprise given the similar detection methods.

Always seems so suspicious when they won't allow recording, what bad things are they doing that they don't want you to have evidence of?
