The new patch offers new level of high detail shadow. You have to go to graphic setting, custom select the option. Also, better re-check all video quality post-processing blur-like effects are OFF. like: field of view, vignette, bloom , god rays, and so on. Developers tend to push "fancy effects" which makes visuals bleak.
