Thank you very much for the video! Getting so much info concerning Chinese/Yunnan culture & puerh culture IN ENGLISH is awesome. I don't think anyone else is doing it.
Looking forward to breaking into my Gulan '22. The '21 Gulan was good 👌🏾

    Hi William, happy birthday!
As a geographer and a tea enthusiast, I'm surprised by the richness of your content. Being geo-literate like you and so acknowledgable about the terroir you work with certainly reflects in the quality of your tea. This video got me hooked and I'm happily waiting for the next livestreams.
At some point in the video you talked about droughts in Yunnan. From what I know about the theme, scientists are finding evidence that the ENSO have strong influence in the atmospheric anomalies that affect Yunnan. Stronger El Ninos and La Ninas bring atmospheric stability and a lack of rainfall in Yunnan. There are some papers about the issue.

You live in an extremely interesting corner of the world. Thank you for sharing this knowledge of it. Looking forward to the future episodes with even more detail sub-region by sub-region. This adds a whole another layer of enjoyment over drinking terrior specific Pu-Ehr.

First off, happy belated birthday! Second, I'd love to see more livestreams (though I couldn't make it to this one) on areas and going into the science and topography of each area. Also, talking about the history and why it's important would be interesting as well. I'm going to have to convince my university to accept these webinars for seminar credits lol.

Really enjoyable livestream. Thanks for going over these topics. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves. I agree that there's not enough 'long form' content out there so happy to see you're giving this a go

Hbty! Very intersting livestream, I'd like to have more to come. Maybe should you make the study of a aerea you're tasting the tea of, and we should buy a sampler of this tea at the same time. Looking forward to ear you again!

Thank you! I don't think so, you need a vpn just to use google earth, baidu maps only offers very low res satellite pictures, but I have plenty of pictures for sure!

I will do those live streams regularly in the next weeks until I have explored all the main tea areas of Yunnan. I cannot guarantee a stable time, I tell youtube half an hour before I start the stream.
