I was locked up in Juvinile Hall on 150th and Mr Currys sister was a counselor there at the time. My father whom i knew so little of worked there also and i told her who my dad was (Carl Sims) and after that day she showed me more love than i had even on the streets. She had a kind soul and motherly way about her. Parents raised them right. God bless the Curry family. Some of Oakland’s Finest!!!!

I grew up in Oakland, knew Mark Curry. Growing up in Oakland you would hear about Felix Mitchell see the cars and jewelry, as a poor kid growing up I never looked up to them at all. It was like that's their thing, my thing is trying to make what I do work. I drove a lot of beat up cars etc. still had fine girlfriends, went to school, played sports, never sold a drug in my life. The reason I never did was because I saw my dad get up and go to work every morning. It didn't matter if he came home when I was already in bed, before I got up he was already gone to work. That let me know if I worked hard I could make something of myself, and to never compare myself to another man's success, because he will pay the price for it one day if he's doing something that's not honorable. Looking up to a drug dealer is like worshiping money, I wasn't taught to worship money or the people that had it. The most fun I had in life was free of charge because a lot of real people were around then who knew how to have real fun without killing each other. The crazy thing was when I started making money from my business and started driving nice cars and wearing nicer clothes back then, everybody thought I was a drug dealer. I would never poison my community and think I'm some type of idol or dignitary. I've seen too many lives destroyed from drugs.
