You can see Sharapova blowing her nose in tissues during the change-overs, and I've made the same comment regarding Andreescu vs. Osaka at the Shanghai open where Andreescu was visibly sniffing vicks on her bench, and also flagged after dominating the first set -- considering the date of the match (Jan 7, 2020), where it was, and the fact that we know covid-19 was far more widespread even prior to March -- it's been confirmed in multiple samples as having been outside Chine long before the lockdowns -- I would like to know how Sharapova's SARS-COV2 antibody test comes back -- assuming she is willing to be tested!
Close long tough match. Brady doesn't beat Maria on clay (even this Maria) and neither does most in the WTA. Wasn't a total disaster against Donna either. So surprised that after trying so hard pre season and going through so much pre match (freezing) etc that she didn't tough it out give the clay season a try.
