Superlek is too sharp! the lowered shoulder for the whipping rear kick is a beautiful technique!!

Why the reff keep pulling panpayak up so angry when he sweeps superlek and yells at him?

I'm legit new to the sport and trying to understand, here. Red (told you) seemed to be raining down on blue (again, told you) with bomb knees in the clinch. Not only that, but he blocked 9/10 of blue's kicks and I've been told that sweeps equate to no points.
Am I missing something here? Are blocked/checked kicks still worth points?

I'm no expert either but I'm sure the takedowns blue had on red helped. He also landed a good teep. Red was more active in the clinch like you said but that was more so in the last round and may have been too little too late. You could tell red was trying to put the pressure on in that last round of desperation

Muay thai is hard to score. Just watch whos the aggressor in the last round and hes the loser most probably

Blue is landing his open side (stomach) kick at will, that is a huge point in thai scoring. Sweeps and throws dont give you points per se but they help tell a story and establish a narrative, which in this case, in the 4th round (most important scoringwise) Panpayak (blue) demonstrated he could throw superlek at will. By establishing dominance in that way and superior timing by consistently landing the open side kick in the scoring rounds he got reaally far ahead in the score

Most of red’s knees get snuffed by panpayak too

I thought for sure they're gunna gift superlek the win like they always seem. Panpayak vs Pet-u-tong would be great to watch

pet-u-tong already lost. first fight with panpayak, he knocked him out with lefthook however he was outclass in the rematch

ahhh i think i remember, ok...so its 1-1? there should be a third match at some point to decide

    • @horsearcher6852

Not likely because of the second fight pet u tong was outclass, it make it look like the first one he won by luck, most people(muay thai people, gambler, promoter) see that pet u thong will not win because they both are technical fighter but panpayak is bigger stronger and faster and might even be a better technician than pet u tong(second fight pet cant even hurt him and admit defeat since fourth round)

I don't understand the luck theory, they train to punch and kick people in the face and hurt them, he does that and it's luck? the second fight seemed a bit weird to me, like pet was sick or maybe he had to throw the fight i donno... that's why there SHOULD be a 3rd fight but like you said there's all this politics involved. Pet is a little small for 130 but has enough skills to beat 90% of opponents, panpayak is very good too.

I understand and i agree with u, but i didn't mean the fact that pet can punch is a luck, what i mean by luck is that because panpayak made a huge mistake instead of get counter or setup by pet because pet was throwing wild single left hook once and panpayak get hit in the same situation as the knockout and still panpayak make same mistake while he is a defense specialist, he try to trade a punch when he is not even known for being able to hurt any one with punches while pet have knocked out other fighter with punch before, he go in the ring with wrong mentality and didnt follow his game plan(timing his fast powerful left kick). so the knock out is a result of panpayak mistake and other half is pet effort, in second fight he followed his game plan and pet u tong trick didnt work on him and because of pet u tong like u said is sick he gave up in round four, without that punch panpayak seem to be able to see through pet's offense therefore he got almost no chance. also pet rarely lost but when he do he lost to a powerful striker, mungthai(elbow, knee, strong),thanonchai(punch, kick, strong)sangmanee(kick.strong)panpayak(kick) not that i have anything againt you, dont get me wrong, it just like you wrestling with pig and then you realize that the pig acually like it and i am that pig hahahaha

Failed to understand that. Sure, I could see that Panpayak was getting the best positions in the clinch, but he wasn't doing anything with it, while Superlek was constantly kneeing him.

then see it this way, outside game superlek lose and inside game he is not the clear winner either(he fall too often and didnt score clearly)

If u are getting the best on the clinch and you dominated, it's almost like won the round in thailand
