I want you to know the JP's Panda keepers are how devoting theirself to Pandas. it's really difficult to rear. and most regrettable thing is that they are all belong to China. JP has been paying huge money for rentaling them even for babies born in JP. Yet,we really cherish this adorable creature and prevent from extinction.
The Panda Base is a truly wonderful thing. The larger issue and cause of the fragile state of the Great Pandas existence is caused by the Chinese government though. In Sichuan Province the Pandas habitat has been reduced by 50% between 1974 and 1989. In 1998 they banned logging in this area, but already such massive damage has been done. It;s good they are trying to make a difference now, but the deforestation and pollution in other areas is still extensive..
understand your feeling, people will miss them if they come back to China. But come back to China they can have huge wild spaces and freedom for living. The panda base is in the wild area of China. Lot of trees and mountains. They don't need to live in the zoo and see the visitors in their whole life. You know this is better for pandas' adult life if you love pandas. For the money, I think zoos can earn the money back because pandas can attract many people to visit.
It is absolutely great, the pandas look so happy in the videos! Yes, I think it's a shame that such precious and beautiful creatures only existed in a country with such low regard for the natural environment in the past (and absolutely now still). It is very expensive, we hope it will go to making a better future for the pandas.
