Just keep going at it... take what you see him doing, and observe how he moves, his decision-making, and really analyze what he's doing... then just try every time you encounter someone to implement what you learn.
It will get better slowly, and you'll learn to implement more and more. If you go into the fights expecting to die, you'll create opportunities to learn.
Want to get some experience fighting platoons? Do a destroy supplies contract early and start cracking safes asap... you'll start piling up cash, and should get a couple decent killstreaks to help you out too.

I learned the other day that ...the hostage contract in al Mazrah city where the chopper lands on top of building but u cant jump with hostage because its too high for an operator carrying hostage..u can take a regular exfil and the contract still counts.....

This gameplay is destroying dmz. Dmz is now the " easy warzone" option.
You just can't do missions without getting hunted without them even having the hunt squad contract.
6 man's within the first minutes of the game is out of order. Its absolutely destroying the gameplay.
I've literally had to delete players from my friends list because all they want to do is go in and ruin as many players as possible. They don't even loot , they find , take out, and move on .
Its pretty sad and boring . Not to mention the 6 man's that kill a player then spend the whole game camping that one player. Gat a life people.
