Dude, your videos are the absolute best on MA2! I watched all of the others people posted on TH-cam, even the MA ones, and you answered most of my questions in this one video that no one else did! I am an audio guy learning lighting and I can’t thank you enough. 🙏
pro tip, if you prefer clicking on every beat on a 4 count, change the rate of the effect. all my effects i immediately change rate to .25 unless, but will sometimes change the rate of each effect to the speed of my liking, ill usually play something at a bpm and go over my rates so that all FX specifically look good together at the same bpm. with some meant to be double time and so on.
Another awesome video, thanks for sharing your knowledge and showfile! 🙂I haven't tried it yet, but will definitely do so! What was also new for me: The thing with the fixed speed via command in the cue...nice!
Thank you! Setting the speed via command is super useful! I’m glad I was able to teach you something new! Let me know what else you would like to learn about and I’ll make a video on it. 👍🏼
@@Taylor-Copland thank you too! 🙂 I'm still relatively at the beginning of my "MA2 learning process", but I'm sure I'll have lots of questions in the future! 😀 Right now, two things come to my mind: 1.) As already mentioned in your other video, a size master fader for move effects would be nice. 2.) I would like to control the fade time between positions (cue stack on executor) on the fly via a fader. For this the exec time seems to be a good tool. Problem: Then all executors react to this exec time, which can be annoying. Therefore I have to activate "ignore exec time" in the assign menu for all other executors. This is also a bit time consuming. Is there a better way? 🙂
You could have saved 5 mins on your pos presets by simply storing them as pan and tilt, copying the set, store removing pan from the tilt set then store removing tilt from the pan set. The process would have take no longer than 10 seconds depending on how fast you type
Amazing Work. One thing I don't get: Why don't you generate your "final" positions using the "pan only" and "tilt only" presets we already merged ? Something like (for each final position): BlindEdit On; ClearAll; Group 1; At Preset 2.3; At Preset 2.12; Store Preset 2.25 /m /nc; ClearAll; BlindEdit Off; That would be a nice lil macro to run, populating most of our final positions presets ! I might add my own macros for busking (thus, auto-creating a colorpicker using your presets, etc). Tell me if you're interested ?
THANK YOU for these quality tutorials! I'm new to programming and have found your videos to be very easy to follow along with and I've already learned a lot going through your tutorial playlist. I've downloaded your showfile, however I am unable to load into MAonPC. It's downloaded as a .show file and I can't seem to get MA to recognize it. Digging through some Reddit posts I found if you just add ".gz" to the end of the .show file MA is supposed to recognize it. When I do that all it does is re-zips the file. Any recommendations to get this working?
The color FXs will break if you delete a color preset. To fix this, you will have to set the high/low value in the color fx to the color you desire. And you are very welcome!
put the colors back to where they were before, effects access the color preset by the number location, so if you add back the color preset to the default places they were in at the start, they will work again, or as he said, just add new presets to the high and low value.

Yes that is a way you can do it. It all comes down to preference and what you find to be easier.
Fantastic Quality. Subbed after 30 Seconds..
Thanks for the sub! I’m glad you found my content useful!

Thank you so much! And I’m so sorry for the late response. What version of MAonPC are you running?
Try changing the file extension to show.gz then placing it in your show gma2/shows folder
If you delete colors what can you do to get effect working again ?
