    I got absolutely pumped there about ten years ago, a huge set came I got caught inside and held under for two massive waves at low tide, I somehow got swept about a km up the bay after they let me go. I just remember being under water and praying my legrope didn't snap or I wouldn't be writing this!

      G-land is heavy, no one around for miles when you get outside or washed in.

      I used to surf big I.B. and every morning it was heavy there'd be a bunch of panzies doing the same thing why we were getting barreled

    G-Land was alot heavier than I imagined seeing it in mags.....I went there and was completely different in person.....had a few huge days there, not to be taken lightly fir sure

      Truth. We turned up in 88 and a total of 10ppl there to ten foot monsters grinding down the point. Terrifying.

      G land can be intense, I sat out there for like a hour before I caught a small 5 footer in-between the massive sets.

      yeah the pictures are deceiving! G-Land gets very gnarly and very raw

    Boneyards by Sunset beach on O’ahu is the absolute critically scariest in big surf. Hands hitting the reef while paddling through 10 plus!

    i've been in that exact spot when it wasn't even as big as this, could not get past the whitewater, just got blasted across the reef every set. g-land definitely heavier than it looks!

    I was there when it was 20 + foot when it's breaking on the bomy out the back . 2 people air lifting out broken kegs on rrrf

    Surfed it a few times with the bombie breaking pretty easy paddle.out through the key hole just time it and paddle hard, got some the biggest barrels I've ever had and wipeouts

      The thing is you've gotta time it. From my experience paddling out at the key hole you are still wearing sets on the head.

      When it's that big there no easy way, some people go for the keyhole up the point, but big sets will you wash back in.

      That is what catches you out in breaks like this in Indo, it looks 3-4 foot and fun and then cleanup sets come through more than twice that size.
