Furi | Summed Up (Story Summary | All 3 Endings)

- Trapped in a multilayered prison and freed by a stranger in order to escape. the only way out is to kill all the jailers.
This is a Furi story summary with slight explanation hints.

The deepest part of the game though... "There is something in that room, something meant to stop you for good" he is talking about empathy... not the giant cannon.

@@kkkkoouciLolol nah fam, remember when the rabbit said that rider's hesitation gave him hope? its precisely because that hesitation means that rider may feel sad for the planet and decide not to destroy it, that's the whole point of rider's journey
@@thenrgdrink7694 A world can't project its thoughts. It can't literally fight to stay alive. Its inhabitants, however, can and will do both. The Rider, in its journey, learnt how and why these inhabitants would fight just to stay alive - The Scale lived for revenge, The Hand fought for his loved ones and fellow man, The Song wanted to even try and "save" it. The list goes on, with each encounter further proving that life isn't so simple that you should just obey whatever you are told to do without a second thought. Eventually those minor thoughts led to this unit renouncing its mission.

I love, love, LOVE this game, not only the gameplay, but the overall theme of "freedom" across the whole game. You start off the game imprisoned, restrain by bunch cell wardeners you have to fight in order to be free, but along the way you can see how they might be as much of a prisioners as you are and they either don't realize this or have convinced themselves otherwise, some held back by grudge, by their own responsibility, what they think is destiny, their loved ones etc. and when you finally achieve "freedom" you realize that the true freedom is not to be unrestraint by chains, but to able to choose your own destiny, to choose what you know is right, that's the moment The Rider really set himself free, by having free will, no more a prisioner, no more a weapon, no more a drone.
U forgot how the rabbit/father/archtect smiled when seeing rider fall after destroying the ship.
I'm guessing the Riders are made by the rule of "Kill one, two will take it's place," or maybe "Kill one and another will come". Seeing how you don't have a clearer abundance of humans on Earth, the Riders did a number. To the point that the people left knew what would happen if a Rider was successful. For the sake of humanity not worrying forever on picking off Super Samurai Terminators, maybe the prison was built in a last ditch effort in despiration. Probably can be explained by how much the Chain enjoys torturing your character. More on him taking his possible sorrows out on you, knowing because of the riders and those behind them are the reason why his world will not go back to the way it was or something.
My guess is they'd either send another one looking or a signal would arrive that they killed him, meaning that they're strong enough to take them on, then they'd send in the entire army. All throughout the game though, they act as if they simply can't kill him, and not for lack of trying, which is why they build a mega-prison for him. This is further reinforced by you being dragged back to your cell every time you lose. They can beat him into submission (and boy, oh, boy, did they beat me, haha), but they can't find a way to kill him.
The Star mentions that the humans 'don't even know [they] exist', meaning these people genuinely thought this lone Rider unit was alone. Plus, if their best can barely win a battle against, not even kill, this single Rider, imagine how effective a surprise army of them would be.
@@lorelogs3901 i think Raider is what it sounds like - Rider of Apocalypce. He's been shown to be pirced and wounded and get up like its nothing, and the Star says they will fxcking annihilate him which means to kill him u literally have to use something so powerful no cell will be left or he'll come back, he's pretty much like a Wolverine but stronger, he's an immortal.
You can meet 'the voice' alongside his daughter in the "open world" before going to your spacesuit! (I know I'm late to the party ;-) )

MeFew [Spin] they still invade and destroy the world. The only way to stop the invasion is to kill the jailers and turn on your own people.
The mercy ending is sweet but it doesn't save anyone.

You skiped the scene where the stranger found out why the bunny head did It (yes, you find hin with his daughter and he talks with you one last time).
You Just need to seek for hin before going to the space
+Loner Imortal To be honest, I didn't seek him out in my first playthrough. And since it wasn't necessary to finish the game, I didn't think to add it to a summary. It is a fun tidbit though.

His name is The Voice.

HIS name is "The End", the final jailer reveals that to us if you refrain from killing her long enough to hear her dialogue.

Games like this, are the reason why I switched to indie gaming.
I loved this game and the story to it. Don't know why people never check on the hut with the little boy though.

Well what little we do know is:
The Line knew and warned of the threat coming but no one listened. The Rider descended from the sky like a meteor and laid waste to everything, nature, civilization, all of it. Eventually, an army in the hundreds lead by The Hand and including The Flame (the DLC boss) finally captured the Rider. But they couldn't kill him permanently, so The Architect built the multilayer prison to contain the Rider. Each layer is cut off from the world somehow, and potentially in time via The Line or something that mimic's him (at the end of his fight, the Rider shoots the machine specifically.) manipulating time. During their construction of the prison, The Strap appears and with seemingly equal ferocity, tears her way into the prison, looking for something. The Architect traps her in a specially made layer of the prison that regenerates faster than she can destroy it and she goes mad. The Song takes her place as a Guardian... but for some reason convinces those in charge to seal The Architect in the prison as well. Presumably, he was not told until later. The Hand volunteered to be a guard, but brought his son with him to live in this timeless confinement. The layer's beyond the Architect are staffed with the best fighter's they had, The Flame being too injured to qualify. (Though he takes up guard on the tower where the Rider's flight armor is stored.) The Burst and The Edge are to be the final layers of defense. But whoever was in charge ordered the inclusion of The Beat, eager fool that she was, and for whatever reason The Architect did so. Then they sealed the prison, and The Architect in. The Rider was tortured continually by The Chain until presumably basically all memory/programming left in him was destroyed and during that time one of two things happened.
1. The Architect realized that whoever sent the Rider would eventually send someone or someone's else, and this time they couldn't be stopped. He finally believed The Line... so he devised a plan: if the Rider was so unstoppable, then the only thing that might possibly save the Free World... is the Rider. Carefully framing things so that when the Rider got out of the prison, he'd be changed enough to potentially save this world.
2. The Architect, bereft of his daughter, effectively totally alone except for the Rider, tried to find a way out of his prison. But he couldn't, letting the Rider loose was unthinkable to the Architect. But The Father, he was willing to destroy another's world to save his own, and his daughter was his world. So The Architect/The Father devised a plan that might let him have his world and save it too. The one in #1. After all, prison changes you inside.
The events of the game occur and The Song, still believing in what she considers 'her' plan, offers to let the Rider stay in her layer. If he accepts, then in all likelihood, eventually The Star sends another Rider. Presuming the Rider doesn't accept, then on arriving back the Rider either sides with the Star, or turns on it. In the latter, another invasion of the world may eventually come, but while The Rider can't walk the world he saved, he's given an awful lot to defend it. Proven he will destroy one world to preserve another. Perhaps only his priorities have changed, not his nature. Since they have no intention of making a sequel, it is left to us to consider without a definitive answer.
The Rabbits name is "The Voice" and the strangers (main characters) name, or at least he officially goes by, Rider.

this first time I played the game when the song offered to stay with her I was like pfffft yeah sure I'll play your game game, and went with her and waited, then I realised it was an actual ending and I was like wtf o.o
I think we lack one more ending: refusing assimilation and simply moving on. We don't know what the Star is seeking from the planet, what makes it potentially suited for assimilation. However I suspect that "it dies when we touch it" is quite a problematic trait. Of course that's assuming that Rider and co. do not have such impact on other worlds.

I'm pretty sure the art director was responsible for Afro Samurai.
The voice serves a similar purpose to Ninja Ninja, in that he's like a psychopomp guiding the hero. Afro and the stranger have a lot of the same visual cues too, especially the way the hair flows. The Voice's design is also realllllllly visually similar to Jinno, a major antagonist in Afro.
There's definetely a connection.
I still wonder how the planet's assimilation would have even happened, considering a single Rider literally kills the ground it stands on. Maybe they meant just harvesting the planet's elements?
I figure it's supposed to be something along those lines. They just harvest a planet they attack, leave it barren and move on to the next one.

There's two bad endings of course. Even if The Stranger stays with The Song... What's stopping the mothership from sending another rider?
Honestly? Not the slightest idea. They never explain that (at least not in-game). They way I see it, one of two things would happen:
1) It would send down another one since it never heard back from the first.
2) Seeing as it doesn't look inclined to get into fights it can't win (it sends a Rider down to do recon before attacking or not), it might believe the Rider was defeated, the planet is too powerful and leave to find some other weaker civilization to invade.

It's a win for the ones who created the prison because he willingly stays in it, I guess.
It's shown at the end of the game the main character you play as is called Ryder. And the rabbit is called The Voice, shown in achievements and credits. You couldn't even get the two in character names right. I'm not trying to bash you, but you need to try harder

I did switch to calling him Ryder, at the end, after in-game the mech-suit says "Acquiring Rider". From that point on in the video I called him Ryder.
As for The Voice, I toyed around with his name. At first calling him The Rabbit, then The Architect and ultimately, The Father. Much like I did with Ryder, I changed the name as the story revealed their identities.
PS: I will admit though that I had no idea he was known as The Voice until someone else pointed it out because I played the game on easy and never looked at the achievements. I'm a wimp, sue me. Still, the name changes were done on purpose.
