  • THIS IS STEP 1 TO BUILDING A 1000WHP HONDA B-SERIES ENGINE!!!
The line boring process ensures that all of the main journals are properly sized and in-line. This is critical at 11,000RPM and over 1,000 horsepower in order for the main bearings to survive. All of the caps must be ground first (in this case 0.005”) and the block must be properly positioned for this high precision operation. Vertical line boring eliminates the issues that plague conventional horizontal line boring operations or line honing operations.
Stay tuned and subscribe to our DSPORT channel as we will soon be releasing our B-series cylinder sleeving video. With a 72mm Class Limit turbocharger, the DSPORT B-series engines have produced over 1,060 horsepower (SAE corrected) at the wheels with off-the-shelf forged pistons and rods.

WoW!! That's the legendary Swede Engine builder Magnus! He built many winning racing engines for Cosworth when they were involved with the CART and Champcar world racing series! Not to mention his involvement in formula one research & development in the UK. DSPORT, I hope you guys seriously know how lucky you are to have Magnus. Take care of him and help you make history with building some extraordinary impressive engines. I got the pleasure to work with him for a few years at Cosworth and was convinced this bad ass Swede is the best engine builder in perhaps the world.
Hope you guys can do a article or more video of just Magnus at work .Very cool

why do you still see the blue dye after the bores have been cut? if the boers were perfectly cut circular wouldn't it remove all of the dye?

Factory specs, you don't want loose main caps while machining.
