Another entertaining video lads and the progress you’ve made is impressive - you’ve got this far in under 6 months! By the way I used 3mm white backed MDF as a base for my curved corners, which also looked ok until such a time that I could fit the Backscenes over the top. No to cheese and onion though. Salt n vinegar all the way.

Will get some and give it a go! Mad that it’s only 6 months, hadn’t thought of it like that!

Why does the dynamic between the two of you take me back to 2012 Lewis & Simon of the Yogscast? Excellent stuff and great videos :)

KFC crisps were a disappointment Bob... added to the fact they are suitable for vegetarians!!!! Looking good gents and good forward planning.

I've got the same issue of having to round off the corners of the back scene. I have gone for 'bendy ply' It is generally about 3.6 to 4mm thick, and when ordering it specify which way you want it to bend. It's very bendy!! (need to order it from a proper timber merchant, rather than B&Q/Wickes. Comes in 8x4 sheets, and most merchants will cut it down to the size you need for free. Win Win!!

Bendy ply!? 🤔 sounds almost too obvious! Will have a mooch about and see if we can find this magical material! Thanks for the heads up!

Hi, Ben (and Bob). I was most interested to hear that you want to switch between DCC and DC (at least on one part of the layout). I too wish to do the same as I have an extensive range of both chipped and unchipped locos. I have seen other videos where they describe how to wire the switch, but - if you would - I would like detailed coverage of how you connect your controllers (both attached to the wiring, if not switched on at the same time. I would also like to know how (if at all) you will isolate the DC loop from the rest of the DCC layout. 700,000 points on the layout? I've told you a million times not to exaggerate!

Hey Paul - our very next video (or at least one of the next videos) will be covering exactly that! Hopefully we can make sense of it for you!

Hi guys - when I was working on my bungalow I had a UPVC soffit board left over so I stuffed it up in the loft as its so long and awkward to hide away.
So when I started on my loft layout I thought that the soffit board would be ideal as a base to the back scene. Its plastic so the backscenes should stick to it quite easily to it is extremely bendy which is ideal for corners. All I have to do is purchase a couple more for the rest of the layout.
    Regards Chris
