  • Meet Posh Pete, an international cocaine smuggler from leafy Gloucestershire, England,
Pieter Tritton became an unlikely international drug kingpin until his arrest in Ecuador in 2005. He spent 9 years in some of the most dangerous prisons in South American before being released in 2015. He was nicknamed 'Posh Pete' by his underworld colleagues because of his incongruous appearance and accent.
We spoke to Pete about what it was like in one of the world's scariest prisons, how he became a drug trafficker, and what his life is like now.

if you have a lot of correctly held money waiting out , still have many years of jail time left , while having some connections with dangerous organized criminals like the kinds of connections you can make in jail , at that time , these sort of ideas become optional and some what possible depending on the police strength and control in that country.

To be honest, I reckon he was just used and abused throughout the prison, looks like he might have caught something from his stay too. He looks and sounds incredibly timid, it's hard to imagine anyone listening to him long enough for him to accomplish anything. Then again, I'm just a guy who's probably watched too many movies.
