But when my daughter goes on TH-cam kids, she’s exposed to close ups of animated characters eating each other. Blood, gore, and sounds included. TH-cam’s quality check is a joke. And it’s more irritating then funny that they’ll harass adults making content that could go on public television but TH-cam kids and is a cesspit
The app youtube kids is even worse than that, they allow and push creeps (that r into kids), propaganda and sexual content on the app. It has been known for years, they refuse 2 do anything aboot it. But actual problem is much, much worse.

The biggest problem with content being flagged for adults, is the fact this is a holdover from when there was no "TH-cam Kids" section. So this is flat out just them refusing to actually fix the problem of having an outdated system.
Pretty much, and a simple solution would simply to have "adults only" marked video cease to be a problem, add one extra layer in the system that verify the account's age and start recommending adult videos to accounts that belong to people that are 18 year old and above, that way there would be comapanies that would be willing to support that kind of company. And if a Kid tried to use an "older" account, Google would have grounds to defend itself. And Parents would finally be responsibilized for this, as they definitely should.

There is a youtuber who got her channel hacked by a two factors authentication bug, and when she send her report about the hacking, they firstly said that nothing was wrong and the channel was normal, than after a bunch of reports they told her, her channel was back up and linked another channel sitting the wrong as the one reported channel, and after having multiple big youtubers, users, and even youtube social media managers talking about her problem they called her to say they couldn't do anything about it. Than after loosing sponsors because of the whole thing, she was called for a meeting with youtube higher ups and finale heard what she should have many months earlier "we had a breach of our security systems and you couldn't reach us cuz the bots were talking to you instead of humans. We can retrieve the channel but the videos were far long lost due to be on the delete state for months".
When I saw this videos title I immediately knew what scene we were talking about. Watching TH-cam punish some of the nicest content creators with their outdated system.
Seriously is that what TH-cam gotten so hot and bothered,just because he is showing Kratos jumping off the cliff to commit sumo slide. It’s one of the most profound moments in God of War and this scene gotten your channel to get flagged is complete BS from them. Not once but twice.

The reason why they use Dream On is because many people associate the song with Sumo slide, or as we say in my country "la auto moricion", but there are also people who affirm that there are parts of the lyrics that fit perfection with the story of God of War

i really appreciate being informed by people who are knee deep in what they do and talk about. It just means this person knows a lot about what they are talking about. Never listen to the higher ups. always listen to those near or at entry level, they will always give the real low down and tell you all you need to know about everything thats fucked up and how to actually keep things running. The beauty of TH-cam is long in the past. It used be an alternative to cable television because of the access and creative freedom. Now, it is the new cable TV with all the same restrictions.
Theyre certainly trying. I cant wait till it blows up in their face, because without small creators, they would fail. Very few people want to come watch CNN or Fox news clips, or clips from late night shows and crap like that. I see it as a cycle, youtube will eventually kill themselves when creators flee to a new platform, but that new platform will also eventually try to go corporate like youtube is trying. One of the many examples for why fighting game stories need to be better in the execution, so you can sustain a bigger community, as TK7 gained 10 millions copies, despite it being a mediocre package.

I have for you here a solution. Let the Advertisers and Sponsors decide which videos and channels they want their ads on and which they do not want them on. And Simultaneously, let TH-cam Channels decide which ads can and cannot be on their channel and videos. It likely will get clunky and weird at first (I mean, we have millions of ads to consider.), but with time and refinement of how the parameters can be set, it will be a viable system. TH-camrs get to publish whatever they want, falling sort of anything that is straight-up illegal, and the Advertisers can stop worrying that they had $0.50 of ad payments go to some Far-Right channel
Now make some sponsor quit youtube so they gets your attention and than you tell them this solution (is the only way youtube ever stops to listen to anyone)

The unfortunate truth is that the solution is to have a team of actual humans review content that gets age-restricted and appealed, but, because TH-cam is a company, they don't want to put up the money for that even if it would make them more.
They want to control WHAT your allowed to show us and are willing to take a hit to do so. They know they control the Market and can force you to do so. You even said your willing to make changes in order to be seen, thus proving it works. I dont blame Creators like Bacon for making these changes, because they have little choice. People seem to have this illusion that TH-cam Creators are their own Business/Boss, no they are Freelance. You can make whatever Videos you want, but if TH-cam does not like them then you are not going to get paid. Only those at the Top can Push the Envelope, but even then they can, and will, smack you down if your head gets to big.
Is there no legal precedence that would allow youtubers to sue? The ambiguity in reasons gor demonetization and video flagging seem to fly in the face of ethical practices in work. For any other job they can't stop paying you without firing you for a reason. You have the right to be paid for work done so shouldn't it follow that you have the right to know what work will specifically be paid for?

One of the weirdest things with TH-cams recent policies is the fact that it's trying to censor everything. Why??? TH-cam isn't this new thing. If it was, I could see it. But TH-cam has been around since the mid 2000s and there wasn't a soul that didn't know about it. So trying to censor everything to appeal to an incredibly small group of people is ludicrous because anyone in the world who has internet watches youtube and knows there's sometimes naughty things on it no matter what.

I just wanna know what makes advertisers/sponders so.... scared of. Like I understand being afraid of stuff like say an ad on a video that is from someone adovating big violent situations(Riots, death threats) and so forth but stuff about A VIDEO GAME or even in the context of just discussion, seems really backwards to me.
They aren't. TH-cam is afraid of loosing sponsors and just swings everywhere not taking note if sponsors mind or not.
What makes no sense on here is how you can watch all those parts they deem "bad" or "inappropriate" on other channels yet the videos stay??
I can get behind automated preliminary check, but appeals should definitely be checked by actual real humans.

I have for you here a solution. Let the Advertisers and Sponsors decide which videos and channels they want their ads on and which they do not want them on. And Simultaneously, let TH-cam Channels decide which ads can and cannot be on their channel and videos. It likely will get clunky and weird at first (I mean, we have millions of ads to consider.), but with time and refinement of how the parameters can be set, it will be a viable system. TH-camrs get to publish whatever they want, falling sort of anything that is straight-up illegal, and the Advertisers can stop worrying that they had $0.50 of ad payments go to some Far-Right channel
Now make some sponsor quit youtube so they gets your attention and than you tell them this solution (is the only way youtube ever stops to listen to anyone)

I continue to hear people complain about TH-cam and yet most of the time no one does anything about it. Man if people cared more about what is right then they would come together to strike or something, but that really doesn’t happen. Why doesn’t it? Everyone is more concerned about themselves making whatever money so they won’t risk losing any for any period of time.
Discord has a similar issue, I used to have an account on that that I used for Roblox groups. I was in a German military one, but it wasn't based on real life.
All because I was a admin in the server. The boy basically Banned me because I was an admin and because it claimed I posted something I never posted. I was literally asleep when my account was banned.
Lastly I tried an appeal and it said I could appeal it even though I did nothing.
Saddest thing was I had just bought nitro and this happened the day after I became an admin.

The unfortunate truth is that the solution is to have a team of actual humans review content that gets age-restricted and appealed, but, because TH-cam is a company, they don't want to put up the money for that even if it would make them more.
They want to control WHAT your allowed to show us and are willing to take a hit to do so. They know they control the Market and can force you to do so. You even said your willing to make changes in order to be seen, thus proving it works.
I dont blame Creators like Bacon for making these changes, because they have little choice. People seem to have this illusion that TH-cam Creators are their own Business/Boss, no they are Freelance. You can make whatever Videos you want, but if TH-cam does not like them then you are not going to get paid. Only those at the Top can Push the Envelope, but even then they can, and will, smack you down if your head gets to big.
Is there no legal precedence that would allow youtubers to sue? The ambiguity in reasons gor demonetization and video flagging seem to fly in the face of ethical practices in work. For any other job they can't stop paying you without firing you for a reason. You have the right to be paid for work done so shouldn't it follow that you have the right to know what work will specifically be paid for?
