    About to finish my first month using the $35 Visible+ plan. Have used 440 GB of mobile data with 3 days left in the billing cycle. I do a lot of speed testing. Switched from Verizon postpaid. Visible is the GOAT Verizon carrier. Truly unlimited data and you don't notice the deprioritization when you're in a Verizon 5G UW market. 5G UW is unlimited premium data.

      Getting visible soon how are you able to see how much data you have used? In the app?

    • @YurLord
      @YurLord ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@michaelwork5399 the only way to check data usage is to use the network settings on your own device. Visible doesn't tell you how much data you've used in the app. I think this is because Visible is truly unlimited data. It would be great if Visible did tell you in their app how much of the 50 GB of premium data you've used on 4G LTE and 5G Nationwide. Hopefully they will someday.

  • @pitstop_calvin
    @pitstop_calvin ปีที่แล้ว +9

    One issue I'm seeing with US Mobile is they add a $2.00 service fee and taxes etc. that's not part of their advertised price. So their $45 plan will add up to about $50 after the fees. Visible's $45 plan now is on sale for $35 and that is your TOTAL bill. BUT, US Mobile has more priority data, a better app where you can keep up with your data usage in real time and they have a phone number where you can talk to a real person, Visible does not have any of that. US Mobile does not support the Apple Watch with a separate line, must use your phones bluetooth, Visible does. If the main factor is money, then I think Visible edges out US Mobile. But if you need more priority data and like being able to call a real person for customer service and a better app, then for about $15 more, US Mobile may be a better option.

    Just unsubscribed from USMobile. I really wanted to like this service.
    But I kept having a problem that kind of defeated the purpose of having it.
    My wanting the service was based on the 50gb of hotspot.
    Problem was that intermittently I would lose it and get a notification that I needed to subscribe to a hotspot service to use hotspot. Which is nuts because HS comes with USM. And there is no way I used 50gb of it. 99% of my use is on device and at best I use 30gb at work over the month on device.
    My need of the 50gb HS is for when internet goes down at home. And more often than not, when it goes down at home, it’s also down on my USM service.
    I truly hope it work’s better for others. On device works very well as long as I’m not home. At home speed stop out at 20mbps, still enough to run a few devices. Away from home, speeds are very good.
    Truth is at home all services are pretty shabby.

    MINT Mobile’s “UNLD” plan is throttle hard after 35GB so really is a 35GB plan. US Mobile is throttled after 100GB or 40GB depending if you get Unlimited Premium or Basic plan. So for more than 100GB get Visible or a major carrier or flanker brand. But less than 10% of people use more than 100GB so is good for most.

      I've been w/Visible for almost 5 years and understood Party Pay to be like a "friends & family" thing, so I disregarded it. Thus I've been paying $40/month for years. Just found out last week how Party Pay actually worked and joined one of the parties they listed; now I'm paying $25. Haven't upgraded yet because I don't like the free Orbic Myra phone. But then I found out since my S9 is compatible on Verizon's network, it's compatible on Visible's as well, even though Visible says it isn't. (There seems to be confusion about compatibility on their part.) So I may decide to upgrade after all if I can still use my Samsung, but either way, it's $25/month or $35 for the new Visible+ plan. I'm having a REALLY hard time finding a plan that offers a phone AND a second line for a tablet with enough data that I can get rid of Spectrum Time Warner internet ($84.99 a month). I live in LA and neither Verizon or AT&T have internet coverage here so a bundle option is out. I have checked with your lower tier options and they don't offer second lines. So here's the thing: what needs to be said is what the hot spot data really entails - once you go over that 5GB allotment it drops to 600kbps... That's means 58kb/s download speeds. Most websites will fail to load properly on whatever device is connected to your hotspot.
    Also saying US Mobile's 50GB hotspot is "more than you would ever need" is probably the most absurd thing I've ever heard a "telecom expert" say. If someone using it isn't tech savvy enough to set it as a "metered connection" in their network settings and then shut off every program that uses background data, and set their desktop browser for data saving mode, they could actually go through 50GB in a day watching Netflix/Hulu/TH-cam/etc and Windows sitting in the background doing Windows Update shit. 50GB is *nothing* in the 2020s. That's why I'm so flabbergasted that T-Mobile thinks 5GB hotspot is enough before they drop your speed to something so slow that you'd have to switch a video to 144p just to watch it straight through without waiting for it to pause and download more of the video.
