I brought 1981 SS El Camino from the company I worked for $150 dollars. I immediately took that V6 out of it and put a 350 high performance engine in it.That car was fast as hell but very hard to stop.It definitely needed a brake upgrade and a frame strengthening.85 mph speedometer which broke immediately when I put that V8 in it but definitely fun to drive
Did yours have a boxed frame like the earlier Caminos did? Been wanting a late model EC for a retirement daily....take my 67 on cruise night. They seem to have more room inside and way more comfortable. Problem is finding one thats not a methmobile special
You have to really want to wire those coil packs backwards, they all run down the loom it’s impossible to mix them, you either gotta be a huge idiot or do it on purpose. Love the acting
Here in atlanta or ANYWHERE down south that 80 el Camino is 2,500$ easy. Craigslist all day. A 1968-1971 is worth the money. This has gotta be fake. Never 50k with any type motor.
Get that right sleeve inked man a beer and a shot! Wiring sucks at times, that is for SURE...... Anybody have any idea what kind of motor that is? LS based crate?
Kinda resembles a 1990s build with the painted bumpers and goofy wheels. Dig the powerplant but 50k for that? These were actually really good driving cars when they were new. Just put a decent set of shocks, drop it 2 inches and cruise

He couldn't do a burnout in Arizona, and he still couldn't do one properly in Texas.
Who?
I just sold my 79 elky to get a 97 k1500, This just breaks my heart on selling it
That G-body shuffle

reverse voltage on a coil has a hard time lighting the plugs lmao. seeing as how thats a custom build, custom harness. that can happen.

Where did you find that bumper? I'm reworking a 78.
They're the originals cut down, I kinda want to do the same with my '82
